I'm honestly annoyed that SE are getting more hate than the players who abused the mark system to such a strong degree that SE had no choice but to step in and change how they work..

Wellllll, about that. The "abuse" in question wasn't such a big deal. For those who don't know it placed positions in TEA. Positions that are pretty easy to figure out yourself. Concerned 3% of the player base at best. 3% of the best players who can EASILY adapt without and were essentially just being lazy and doing it for extra consistency. 100% guarantee this will change very little for the people who used it in the first place and instead will affect many other aspects of the game. I think higher tier raiders will be more bummed about Nael divebombs that people placed manually, than anything TEA related.

Well if Se gave a list of the players name that did abuse it people would give them just as much hate but for the most part hardly anyone knows of anyone who have done it lol so can't really expected ppl to give those players hate without names

but if people are abusing a system in any game you don't change the system you ban those players and be done with it there is no reason to change a system because a select few of players lol

There is something to be said about preventative measures.

If SE only banned them and did nothing else that wouldn't fix the problem in their eyes, because there are likely many raid teams they don't know of who committed the exact same offence and would continue to as long as they don't get caught. SE want to make sure it absolutely cannot happen again.

if there is evidence players caused a issue sure but without physical evidence like a name for all we know Se is lieing about it being abused and changed it just for kicks. WIthout physical evidence a lie can told easily so without a name I have no anger towards a unknown person who may or may not even exist and may have done nothing. If theres physical evidence then I say let all hellhounds out of the cage and let them run wild with anger but as far As I concerned without a name or images or even video of it happaning it didn't happan.

Have you looked at blizzard lately or played Ea games its a company lol without evidence you shouldn't take their word for it thats just a logical fact this days if what they say is true the evidence should be shared with everyone.

Yes I have looked at Blizzard lately. It's why I am in this game. They made a royal mess of WoW. And more recently the Warcraft franchise as a whole.

But not even Blizzard have done something like you have suggested SE may have done. Blizzard make some stupid decisions based on misconceptions of what they think players would like, or because they think they can make more money by doing half their job. Not because they actively want to troll their customers.

Don't confuse not putting in enough effort in to making good products with putting in effort to make customers unhappy. They are not the same thing.

thats untrue look at reforge warcraft 3 literaly has done exacly what I stated lol trolled their customers and for a few weeks were banning ppl for asking for refunds lol and flat out stole their warcraft 3 classic game lol

Not exactly sure what evidence you're referring to. But twitch and youtube are littered with videos of the waymark automation system being used.

That's not trolling. That was an attempt to keep the money they made from selling a bad product. Knowingly selling a bad product isn't trolling. Calling that trolling is actually minimising the seriousness of the issue quite a lot.

I don't think that is what she'e suggesting. Nor is yours any more feasible. That is a very impractical and pretentious approach to the issue. If SE did away with everyone in violation of their policies, not only would they do their competitors a huge favor, they would also nail just about everyone for something, because even the saint-iest of us is going to have a bad day and can completely lose composure. SE is also under no obligation to provide disposition of the players that receive disciplinary action. I actually think this is illegal for them to do.

This BY NO MEANS pardons players who choose to violate the ToS, or makes it ok to do so. The ToS exists to govern the players playing the game and provide certain protections to themselves and their subscribers. It doesn't swing the gavel, it gives the provider the power to do so. When you agree to these terms, you lose any and all defense should the provider choose to enact what the ToS allows them to do.

Again, this wasn't done to punish players. Understandable to feel like you are if your intentions are honest, but we don't need the names or even banning of specific accounts to cast the blame in the proper direction. Typically in a game that isn't individually played, when a player cheats, the team loses. Just how it goes.
