We do get a set of converse-like in game over in the Gold Saucer (fashion report). They are a bit too stylized to work with some stuff though, in my opinion.

I never understood why most people rarely make female Roegadyns and Highlanders anything other than butch, strippers, or both. Nothing wrong with making them pretty. I made my Highlander main elegant and the alt is a cute tomboy. Who says Viera and Elezen are the only tall races that can do that? Sarah's outfit will be fine for either.

Its funny you say that, because - and thats only my very personal opinion in regards to my own FemRoe - when looking at Serahs Outfit (actually, outfits since two have been shown in this thread so far) I know my character isnt going to wear them. Not because I dont like her looking "pretty", but because I avoid putting her in outfits that might look fine on the more petite races but look way to short on my FemRoe, for my taste - hence: more "slutty" or to use your word "stripper".
My personal issue with all those miniskirts and minidresses is basically that FemRoes have really long legs, which makes a miniskirt - like the one Serah is wearing - look like just a belt, barely covering my characters butt. It doesnt look "pretty", it looks like wearing something thats two numbers to small. I could imagine female elezen having a similar problem because of their proportions. Since highlander have more human proportions it might be much less of an issue there.
At least for me its not about my character not being pretty, cute or elegant - I tend to put her in those kind of clothes whenever the jobs fits it! - its about those outfits looking somewhat "wrong" for the lack of a better word.
...or maybe I'm just a prude who doesnt like wearing miniskirts herself - but each time I try to glamour one on Vidu I immidiatly think "Nope, this doesnt look right" - while Serahs top might work, I'm pretty sure the miniskirt would fall yet again in the category "way to short to work with the proportions of the taller races".
Here we go, someone else who missed the lore tidbit about roe being proud of their muscles and intentionally wear clothing to show them off. On top of that, why are you shaming people's tastes by calling a look "stripper"?
Have you honestly never seen a body builder? Do you accuse wrestlers, MMA fighters and by gosh the list goes on of dressing like strippers? You seem to want to brag about your highlander more than anything. Using yourself as a comparison point of what is good is not an argument. It's just saying words that contribute very, very little to the circumstance at hand.

I didn't mind legs that much. It never seemed like they lifted the dress that high. But I think they should've widened their hips. That probably would've fixed their proportions, because their lower body is currently more narrow than their upper body. I think it's still possible to work with some pieces, like the top, though I have a feeling SE will just oversize the boots. I think the skirt would be perfect with Roe if they widened their hips a bit
idk what your MMA refrence has anything to do with what I was talking about. Is the first thing you do is attack people you disagree with? Before I was a Highlander, I was a Roe over about two years (if you didn't tell from my signature). I didn't even say they shouldn't look like strippers. The only thing I said is it's possible to make feminine Roegadyns and not all of them have to look as everyone expects from them

While I dont think that that would be the soultion to at least my "problem" with "to much leg" when putting my FemRoe in a (Serah-like) miniskirt, it doesnt matter much, because they infact didnt widened the hips of those races, thus leaving them with "odd" proportions - something that I personally actually think is kinda cool to some degree since it gives a bit more uniqueness to those races instead of just making them taller humans with different skin-options. Its a subtle difference, but its a difference.
However, this difference means that certain clothes fit certain races better - just like irl: certain body-types are better suited for certain types of clothes.
An outfit like Serahs here - or a lot of other cute outfits - are cut in a way that doesnt look very flattering on taller, slender or bulkies races - at least not to me. It has little to do with people playing FemRoes not wanting to make their characters look "pretty" and more to do with the clothes they can actually use to achieve that.
My scholar is currently wearing the Socialite's Cheongsam and doesnt look just pretty but stunning - because its a type of outfit thats flattering her figure.
Miniskirts... are not.
That doesnt mean that I mind seeing outfits added that dont fit my character, thats totally fine and not my point! There are other outfits that look better on the tall races - sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. My point here is that there is little use in pretending that this isnt the case. And thinking about how the races would need to be changed to fit certain outfits seems like the wrong approach to me, since its partially taking away what makes those races unique and gives them this slight vibe of something being just a little "off" aka not-human. (If I wanted to play a human with human proportions, I would have made a hyur, not a FemRoe - I accept that certain outfits wont fit my character aswell as they could because of those slightly weird proportions, so I'm not wearing them - even if I like making my character pretty)

This. I started my Roegadyn alt with the intent of making her "pretty" - and promptly discovered that it was really hard to find nice dresses that don't look awkward on her. I've slowly found things over time, but it takes a lot more searching than it does for my Midlander. (Not that I like miniskirts on her, either.)
I found that anything that has at least knee-length works very well on Roes (might just be personal taste, though) - so there are quite a few dresses aswell as several skirts that can be combined with tops to create some really pretty outfits. Knee length boots look particularly amazing on Roes aswell!
I always felt like Roes look more "beautiful" (as in: elegant) than "pretty" (as in: cute) - but they are more tricky than other races, thats true. To me that only makes it feel more "rewarding" when putting together a really stunning outfit - my partners Mi'qo can basically just wear anything and it looks at least good. But at the same time it seems more difficult to put his cat in something that makes her look really special and highlights her unique features - while my Roe often doesnt look to great in certain outfits but in turn gets to look really amazing once I found something that really fits her.
I understand this.
Whenever I look at something I always think "Okay sure, looks good on these females, but I would feel ridiculous wearing it because Furious is a giant badass broad." It's not that she doesn't look good in something, because usually she does, but it doesn't feel right most times.

Some outfits just look better on the smaller character models in the game, such as on au ra, and miqo'te. The poses also can play a factor. I play viera on and off quite a bit, and a lot of outfits that I think work on my au ra or miqo'te just don't look good on my viera. I think it's just the way the game enlarges everything, some things just end up looking oversized, and I am not even talking about something looking cutesy or not, but in general. Female roes in my opinion have the added problem of having a kind of masculine body shape; very broad, so it only compounds the problem.
