I not just markers he was talking about it was one example which they happen to be doing something about like or dislike it. Its the pluggin/triggers outside of the DPS meter that they are know starting to be aware of.

Good luck doing divebombs without temporary markers, while it's technically possible it is certainly a pain you don't want to deal with, all this is going to do is make the game harder and less fun for everyone, feels like they have to ruin something each patch now.

I don't see how this is very different from bots both use 3rd party programs but hey being able to farm/craft 24/7 isn't as detrimental to the community as being able to change markers on the fly. /s

Actually, they're just going to make client-side waymark mods instead. So PC players (willing to install mods) will have an even bigger leg up than everyone else.

Authoritatively banning something doesn't delete it from existence. At worst it merely digs a little further underground.

How about suspending the players who use said program? We can't have that because it requires they pay attention.

Just be thankful that they didn't scrap the markers entirely from the game XD

Also with around here so many threads saying that everyone should want to become better at the game, and that FF14 is way too easy, you would think that people would welcome a little difficulty spike instead of complaining about it.

This doesn't increase difficulty in a compelling or engaging way. It simply makes certain fights vastly more irritating.

It's not a simple matter of 'paying attention' it would be a matter of installing software into ffxiv to see if people are using programs to place these markers.

Probably an unpopular option - but for the world first teams where Yoshi saw them using these they could ban them even if just temporarily. I mean, he SAW them using it and that's what prompted this in the first place.

So you can't change them on the fly.

I saw that but I've rarely ever seen markers changed during a fight in any of the content that requires a marker.
