Letter from the Producer, XXIII (01/23/2012)

Boyo, the re-percussions of making this thread are ringing true.

My two cents as someone who rides the fence between White Knight / Someone with High Expectations :

The letter was a good read and i'm a fan of japanese culture, but would have been best posted on a personal blog (facebook/twitter).

Its bad Timing for a personal blog, as the community hasn't heard anything of content/something to do since 1.20a (12/27/2011) (All we've had is cosmectic updates/lore).

Maybe instead of all the random lore we've been getting, we got some info on the upcoming poll's, new recipes or jobs, people wouldn't have frowned on this recent letter.

That being said, I'm glad our producer is back and wish him all the best in 2012.

I get annoyed at people like him myself, as I read the letter and loved it.

It was a nice personal letter to start out the new year, I was honestly interested that they even translated it into English, so it was a nice read.

Umm, there is mention of 1.21 at the end of the letter.

I don't get what the whole issue with the letter is. The guy posted something personal in a letter. So?
Where does it say that he needs to post game specific timelines in a producer's letter?
He is doing everything different that the previous producer, and you all can see the results already. Game has improved a lot, there are a lot of new things to do, therefore his management style works.
If he chose to write something personal then good for him ^^

I am glad that he is feeling well and that the next update (whenever that WILL BE) is in works.

Jees, some people here really need another hobby other than this game.

Wow, a single year goes by and people forget the content of the first ever producer letter. It was as personal as this one was. The man works him self into the hospital and takes some time away from running around like a headless chicken to create a personal lets work hard and do well together letter and people spit on it.
