Yep, thankful for those same reasons.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
It's really simple for Gaius.. he'd just bore the child to death with his ranting and speeches ^_^ I mean most children have short attention spans to begin with and are easily conquered via long speeches and big words!Another angle to consider is that it significantly cheapens the story if children are put in the position of the Warrior of Light and able to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Emet-Selch and Gaius. It's an incredibly dull trope and one that - thankfully - FFXIV manages to avoid for the most part. It also opens the door to people screeching about <insert antagonist here> attacking children, which again cheapens characters who have an established honourable streak. Regula avoids combat with Unukalhai because he resembles a child, for instance. Gaius doesn't strike me as the sort to fight a child, either. How would the development team get around that?
I have a secret to tell. From my electrical well. It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells. So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly. My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e. My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest- TMBG Birdhouse in your Soul
A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!

Ohh, The Praetorium. It's so stupid, it's kinda fun to watch
When i see aLalafellcharacter wearing a cute glam
I am not opposed to aging up alphinaud and what not. To be frank, the whole 'time bubble' off hand excuse they use is stupid and offers almost nothing other than a loop hole for them to not age up the models (which is a resource issue on their end, not a plot issue). The whole "weve done everything from 2.0 till current in the spam of a month or two is just rediculous. So yeah, Age em up. Give us a reference of time passing and the weight of that.I am actually for the ageing up of the younger characters through the MSQ.
They were introduced via the story line, but time has past and event have unfolded. The idea of them maturing physically would only be natural, my own character has already had a five year skip in the MSQ due to being a 1.0 WoL, surly comrades of then have changed in a number of ways. Should a possible, other time skip happen (or time shenanigans become a thing), it would stand to reason these characters would get older.
That would be awesome, circumventing this entire issue would be an epic move. Great idea!
And again, to reiterate, I wouldnt be opposed to redesigns of lalafells and the like to better suit their reasons given about characters. While I love many things about lalafells (and Im just a sucker for short characters in general), I think the design could use some work. Tube arms and shoulders so narrow that it causes strange clipping issues is really dumb. Minor definition changes to the frame could make the world of a difference in off setting a lot of the criticism the race gets. But thats on SE to spend money fixing that, and I dont think they would. And I know for sure that even if they were too, they wouldnt cause there would be those who would step in and say that the design updates are ugly or bad or what not, even if they offered everyone a free fantasia to change if they dont dig the new design so they can choose another race. Number one way to piss off players is to mess with glamour and/or character appearance.
I could get behind this idea. I love Lalas too. The cuteness overload that you can pull off with them always draws me back to them and I always keep one of my mains as a Lala. My only problem has always been the lack of shape with their teddy bear or Hello Kitty- like bodies. They're just too tube-like and I seriously wish there was a rework or upgrade to them. I really don't care much for any of the possible negative vibes because that can be attached to anything they add to this game. ( I mean we have people who complain about MSQ as if they have to keep signing up for it). Sliders or a new short race, either one would satisfy me to make the perfect short character.

I agree. It's not going to happen and it never will. There are parents playing this game and you think we'd like to see kids doing what adults do? Not happening... sorry.
Getting tired of seeing these threads popping up every once in a while asking about the same thing. Leave kids out of this.![]()
