Why is glamour shaming still such a huge problem in FF14? Let's fix it in 2020.

On a serious note for any one who's genuinely been offended by a negative critique of their glam, don't be. Different people have different tastes. Some people will hate what you like and some of those people will want you to know that because they crave your attention. If they didn't want attention from you, they wouldn't comment. Give them a cheerful "whatever, dude" and continue on with your day.

Honestly, it's why I kinda lean into it in game. I dress my cute edoll in outfits I would never wear, from the hip to the badass to the outright sl*tty. I've gotten negative comments about it once or twice but I tend to just blacklist; I'm quite proud of my glam plates and damn anyone who thinks they can dictate what I wear.

That being said, I'm not most people. I know people who are self-conscious about their looks in game, and any sort of obnoxious negative opinion, or worse, stalkers, will ruin their self-esteem. That's just how it is. Just telling them to block and move on is good, but it can't be overstated that they also should be encouraged so they don't feel ostracized. Not necessarily babying them, but helping them get a better self-image to help combat the victim blamers like that one guy a few pages back. Obviously, OP is a troll, and most of us have thick skins, but some don't, and it's good to have empathy for them.

Oh OP is a troll all right. If you look him up you'll see that he and the OP from the catgirl/lightning hair thread are in the same FC, and that everyone in there has a "dude bro" style name. Also notice that only those two, along with one Hrothgar a high enough level to even post here. And notice that everyone fro. The same race has a similar appearance. The two 80s though do have some MSQ minions though, so they do seem to "play" the game some. But these threads, urgh....

Look at the list titan man looks like a boosted character. Most of his minions are MSQ given ones mounts are all MSQ mounts. No way anyone playing this game for years would have so little in the way of mounts and minions.

I've worn some pretty skimpy getups and I've never once gotten any flak about it.

In fact, I've played DPS jobs I know I'm not all that great at, like MNK, and walked away with 3 comms for doing nothing special and... not doing the rotation quite right, lol.

They don't care about guys despite what they say just look at page 3 or 4 where I told my story about being called ugly on my Hrothgar I had someone telling me I was indeed ugly and nobody stood up for me while I was glamour shamed.

I went back to look at the post, and it is wrong that they called your Hrothgar ugly, I think the colours on him looked very nice, and I always like goofy Hrothgar/roe outfits.
