They're been farming the Amdapor Keep trash mobs for their gil drops since the 2.0 days.
SE seems like they're focusing too much on the bots themselves when they should be paying more attention to what they're exploiting instead.

I have seen a lot more than 20.
Yes?You do realise that Reap00 said that there would always be bots in MMOs, not that they all fly, walk under the ground,or spam 24/7. There's many kinds of bots after all.
I haven't played all MMOs, but I know that Runescape, WoW, FF, and SWTOR has had spamming gold sellers, and bots.
And Reap00 is right, the bot problem in FF14 was far worse a year or two after 2.0 came out, than what it is now.
There used to be more of them, and for a while, Bots used to be able to clone the name of a legit player logged in at the time when advertising their stuff.
Enter to WoW and make a screen of gold sellers, please. Ima wait, ah, and some of "adsdkamñk dasnkad" flying and walking underground making quests.
Gonna make a coffee till you come back.

Some idea: SE could write some script (meaning automated action) that evaluate if someone is at somewhere he shouldn't. If so, that account is automatically banned. But that also opens a time to make an appeal, so that GMs can analyze those cases by hand. And if the data says that the char was there by accident, the account is unbanned. If not (ie. he was entering Amdapor Keep and keeping himself under the floor for many hours a day), that bot can be safely banned for exploiting a bug.
Another thing: a packet filter at server and at the client. That filter should not accept more than 1 connection from the same IP address/MAC address combo. That alone can't counter mobs, but it will take a toll on costs, since virtual machines can consume much hardware. And the client filter should not let any proccess that isn't allowed to do it to interact with the client and send from time to time signals to the server at random time saying that it's the right client.

I have the solution in three words.
Open world pvp.
Gate the msq behinde a open world pvp area, and watch the magic happen. Put in rewards for actual players to body gaurd friends and low levels through the "Dark Forest". Best part... If anyone ferries them through, they can out themselves as rmt... You only get to show off that they are in your party.

Had friend not long ago have fun with bots. He found out they accept all invites and then will follow that player. So he took them to high level monster areas and let them kill them. they respawn then head to where he was die again and go back again. My question can SE put in a hidden program where if you get permanent banned and then start new account that it pick up that console or pc was used with a banned account and then blocks them from creating new accounts on it.

WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?

LOL, I ain't subbing back to blizz after what a joke the last expansion was, just to prove that MMOs have bots. Also, I'll reiterate, Reap00 just said there's bots in MMOs, not that they all specifically fly and go underground, lmao.
Plus WoW toon names can't be that long, so your specific example is impossible to find on WoW, kek.

WoW has had plenty of this stuff going back as far as 15 years. Flying in zones without flight enabled... harvesting from underneath the terrain. Those examples are not as common but happened many times along the way. Most are simple harvesting/grinding bots though.
30 minutes on You Tube will give you a pretty good picture of it.
