I often go with random groups of friends and our party mix is rarely "optimal". But we have beaten the moogle fight with 2 Pugilists in the party.
Pugilists do a lot of damage so they can defeat moogles quickly, but they need to be in close and tend to take a lot of damage as well. I guess it would be good to have lots of defense and evasion and be good at self healing, because the healers may not be able to help you -- their main responsibility is probably keeping the main tank alive.
It might be hard to get into a random party since people tend to only want the standard Archer DPS mix. But if you have a group of friends who are more into having fun together then it should be easier. ^^
Is this the Fisher-Price guide to moogle?
tiny small error which is not that important
not equal to the number of moogle you killed... it's reverse relationship like 1/(killed)
but good guide I enjoyed it a lot
+1
/meh
I don't know what is this for. anyone?
someone is posting some nice stuffs to the community that's very negative. put weird comment like that won't shows you are an elite players already know how to beat moogle easily. it just shows how _____ you are.

Your guide is well designed, but what does it bring to the table that hasn't already been discussed to death? There are already several guides floating around that cover this fight with the cookie cutter setup. Show me a video of you tackling it with a mix of different DDs and now you have my interest.
This really is for everyone to be honest. I hear a lot of talk about "oh we did it two Marauders" or "we did it without Archers" but I have yet to see any videos. Show me your stuff folks!
I would like to note, as a CNJ, that having both conjurers nuke during phase 1 is very helpful. Simply have both CNJ go into Cleric Stance and nuke on phase one. The more moogles you get down in the beginning, the weaker Memento will be. Of course, these CNJ must also pay attention to health (that is their first priority), but nuking helps too. Saving time also means you're less likely to run out of it should you get unlucky on phase 2 and have to waste your time raising/recovering.
Don't forget to turn Cleric Stance OFF before phase 2. I usually do it during the 6th moogle (there are 7 little ones in total) so I don't forget to later on. Have one CNJ use Sanguine Rite and another CNJ use Stoneskin on the group before Memento is cast. This should make the start of phase 2 go very smoothly. Once the 7th small moogle is down, everyone should gather together on one side so that these buffs will hit everyone. You'll have between 5-10 seconds to pull this off before Memento hits you.
If you, at any point, have more than 2 up at a time during phase 1, you probably won't be able to kill them all before phase 2. So, keep an eye out for when all of the moogles spawn for Memento, stoneskin everyone, and pray you don't die.

I'm usually one of the 2 Conjurers healing the main tank during Phase 2, but during Phase 1 I'm usually attacking with Cleric Stance on. It does help since I tend to play with somewhat random groups of more-or-less casual friends and our DPS ability is not the best.
Towards the end of Phase 1, usually after beating the 5th moogle, I'll start to hold back and try to build up my MP pool to maximum in preparation for Phase 2.
This exactly 200% ^Your guide is well designed, but what does it bring to the table that hasn't already been discussed to death?
