Make it happen.
Why would you not want something to be instanced, particularly on the first day it is released? If it wasn't you'd have to sit there camping whatever objective you want to get done. Content gets flooded on patch days and the weekend that follows. Having some major content, like a dungeon, be open world just isn't part of the mmo model anymore and likely won't be (and shouldn't be) for 2.0. This is of course assuming they intend something like the tower to be some sort of important end game content.
Open world content needs to be just that--open. Dynamic and accessible to all on patch day is another prereq to it too. I know many have their strong "pro-FF" mentality, but you really must think critically about the implementation of future content. No one likes to have their exp camp jacked for example and that kinda conflict only occurs in open world. If that was end game, we'd have the same issues experienced in RoZ expansion.

First off, I would be assuming you would have to DO STUFF befor getting anywhere, and lots of people are slow on that(like me). Sooo it wont be flooded with people, also what is a world with no people in it?
Just forget I said anything before this goes back to an instance vs open world discussion that will never end.

Time Limits in dungeons is fine. What I don't like about the Dark Hold, like some others have already stated, is the fact that if you want that 5th chest, you have run past everything.
A nice solution would be to handle is like Limbus. Kill key mobs and be rewarded time extensions, or kill key mobs to unlock the gates.
It would be nice to see some dungeons tied to GC. for every mob kill you get x amount of GC seals
Anyways I hope the dark hold is the only style dungeon where you're not encouraged to fight your way through.
I think it would be interesting if the player could set the amount of time they want to spend in the dungeon. While I would like to see U/U gear support Materia to encourage multiple play throughs, I really would like dungeons to evolve into areas with multiple paths, multiple bosses, optional bosses, secret NMs, etc.
The time limit is good as it allows player to know how much time it takes, however, it's bad because it doesn't allow for the since of adventure.
I support optional time limits, but really hope dungeons grow![]()

Nobody will ever do Darkhold again anyways because the drops are, in many instances, equal to or less than equipment that can be purchased off the Markets for around 25k.
I've been doing dark hold, lots of people do it still, those are all collector items(I like to collect rare/ex gear). I hope the new "dungeons" are going to be good D: You probably get your af gear in em.
Darkhold is kinda fun, but what about a dungeon that starts you off with ten minutes and allows you to earn time extensions along the way?

I disagree, all dungeons should be open world. There is not point and having these dungeons instances. In open world you have competition, and that is fine with me. In an instance you can only go in if you have anywhere from 2-8 people. I dont like being forced to party up just to explore any area. I want the freedom to come and go in an area as I see fit. Any zone that is instanced I personally will only do it one time and never return to it. I want the freedom to farm or what not w/o having to get other players. There is nothing wrong with dungeons and such being open world unless of course you done like competition. BOO HOO because some 1 there is camping and instead of who ever coming back later they bitch, moan and groan because that cant do what ever it is right than and there. Now you cant say i can only do it at this time or what ever little excuse people can come up with because you can come back another time or better yet another day. Most stuff has no time limit so there is no need to rush and have to do it that second. Why would you not want something to be instanced, particularly on the first day it is released?
