WoW is translated, even having tons and tons of content more than FF XIV. That means this poor indie company could do the same.

I never said you didn't deserve a translation. I was merely trying to provide logical reasons why SE picked German and French over Spanish. There are likely other factors as well which I can't deduce from publicly available data.

It would be cool if SE did decide to provide more languages, even though I personally wouldn't benefit from it (translations to my language usually end up sounding stupid, and I prefer English anyway since it makes communicating with others easier). Trying to shame a company into doing something rarely works though.

It's not about who deserves what. A rule of profit is to be smart about language localization. Do some brief research and you'll find French and German are often if not always higher on the priority list due to the evident market potential in the gaming market. This is how it is and the mind's of stakeholders won't be changed until the spanish-speaking market proves otherwise.

You act as if WoW is some authority of language localization rules. Again, do some incredibly minor research and you will be awed by the net worth of Blizzard v. SE. SE must be strategic, WoW could care less these days.

Well, yeah, Mexico and Chile are on the higher end in Central America in terms of average wage, so I assume it is still affordable for people who live there.

They do spend some into QoL. If you hate this company so much that you're going to complain about umbrella being added into the game (whatever that means) and ignore other things they do, maybe you should just stop bothering with this company and go spend your time on other companies' products that may be worth more your time.

SE does, but it is very evident the dev team themselves are stretched. Though there’s also consideration for the type of resource they have. Artists who are free to make umbrellas are not the same resource as having extra translators (as that’d be adding a resource, whereas umbrellas will have been done by existing resource as they already have artists, but they may not already have Spanish or Italian translators).

That said, I think SE should give them more resources and I think if they did, we could see more language support and more QoL stuff the game needs or finish off content that feels unfinished.

It's really hilarious that people have been super polite in their replies but you've been a hostile tool this whole time. Want to know why you don't get many games translated in to Spanish? Because the accessibility of English. Most, if not all, second most spoken language is English. It is the L2 language king and while there is so many people who know English, languages like Spanish, Arabic, Russian etc. will not be used commonly in games like ffxiv.

And quite honestly, no one is entitled to anything. They picked the languages they did for a reason. South America doesn't have the servers which leaves Mexico and America's Spanish speaking populace. How long did it take for Square to even make a server in Europe, a continent that is much more wealthier than South America, and has a much better video game market DESPITE the many nations that do not speak English, French, or German as their first language? Pretty sure it was around 4 yrs into this game.
