Couldn't geomancer be a healer? After all, one of them comes from Hingashi during the astrologian job quests and join lady Leleva cause they both think their skills can complement each other.

I see what you mean a bit but it shouldn't take so much timeI don't call it ALC when I'm in voice chats with people. Chemist and Alchemist are the same name with 2 letters added for the crafter. I get that people will use the different shortenings making it easier to figure out through text but I could see it creating confusion if it also uses potions as a fighting/healing mechanic I could see that as confusing given both make and use potions. I'm fine with the concept and think it'd be interesting or fun, maybe even funny, to see in action and would appreciate seeing it working. If they can make classes I thought wouldn't work like Red Mage and Dancer, I'm willing to see anything. I just find the naming very similar and could create confusion to new players who are not familiar with shortenings or when things were added. (IE, my new friend can't keep SCH and SMN straight, and doesn't know the crafters from each other so imagine if he had ALC and CHM on top of that when he still thinks RDM was added in HW and MCH was Stormblood)
to understand it after a while but for the sake of it about Mixologist?
And here's another I just remembered:
Apothecary from Octopath Traveler. APC maybe?
https://www.ign.com/wikis/octopath-traveler/Apothecary
Apothecaries use ingredients to help support their teammates.
Sorry for double post... Tablet issues.
Geomancer could be whatever SE wanted it to be, but maybe it wouldn't feel quite as unique with Conjurer existing. Even if it's just a class and not a job.

I'd love to see a non-magical healer added to the game, so I picked Chemist.
Most of the mentions here don''t make even sense or are just slightly different variations or combinations of jobs we already have.
From all the listed uf stff make only these jobs at all sense to be implemented:
- Beastmaster/Ranger/Hunter, all literally the same, which term is chosen is only a flavor of weapon type if either Whips/ Crossbows or dual 1H Axes
- Chemist/Alchemist n rename the crafter to Pharmacist or call the job Scientist , because thats what chemists are in fact
- Green Mage , needed to fix the Scholar / Summoner design disaster and to get a magical dps buffer hybrid, so far we habe only physical ones with bard n monk
- Illusionist/ Psychic, can be put together as Mentalists
- Necromancer
- Time Mage/ Chronomancer
All the other rest makes no sense
Geomancer is just in theory an upgrade for Astro, that would work if both get merged as either the term of Sage, Mystic or Oracle
corsair is just maschinist with thief theme
Arithmetician, just a synonym for Scholar
Canoneer just a synonym for machinist
Gunner ... Rolls eyes, see above
Elementalist. >_> rolls eyes - Redmage!!
Warrior + Rogue = Viking
alot stuff whats wished here afits already into what we slready have and are potentially "advanced jobs" if SE should add ever another job level after the first at Level 30, say with lvl 90 for example
As a former alchemist and former healer, Chemist seriously needs to die. XDDD (It already exists!!!!) I do think a lot of these classes on this poll actually already exist either by another name or by a too similar class...
I think I would love a chocobo knight or a beastmaster. XD That would be amazing. But I do want a healer. There needs to be another healer at this point, we've waited too long for a fourth.
I didn't vote on the poll. I can't... pick. orz I don't think anything is quite right.
I won't be coming back to FFXIV's forums. The forum vibe is way too venomous and brings out the worst in me. I don't like who I am on the forums, so it's best to distance myself.
None.
SE should burn more our money on useless FFXV projects.
I have the feeling like Shadowbringers is our last expansion or second last up until they will release FFXVI that they are working on right now. FFXIV left in the dust and FFXVI being dead on arrival since they will simplify this new thing (maybe mmo) into pressing singe button for doing damage and second buttons for dodging like in FFXV.
