Poll: Which of these FF jobs would you like to see added to XIV next? (Post ShB)

    Link to Poll

I made similar polls during HW and SB.
Like with the last two times, I just do it because I think fan-opinion polls are fun. >w> ♥

During the HW poll, SAM and RDM were both in 1st and 3rd place (DNC being 2nd and BLU being 5th), while with the SB poll, DNC and BLU were both 1st and 2nd place.

Jobs that didn't make the Poll and why:

Assassin: It's too similar to NIN.
Bishop and Templar: We already have PLD and WHM as Holy-users (granted, we could have a Holy-using DPS).
Festivalist: It was between this and Mascot for "X-2's character-specific gameplay" spot and I've seen more buzz about Mascot then this.
    Foebreaker: Lacks flavor/theme.
Gambler: Too similar to AST and Corsair, who has more flavor/theme to it and more fan-buzz (from what I've seen, anyway).
Merchant: Do we really need a job that manipulates gil?
Mime: Can;t do anything on its own (although, maybe it could be a limited job).
Netherseer/Hell Knight and Skyseer/Sky Knight: I added these to my Big List of Jobs™ as wild cards. I didn't add them because you kind of need both (they're connected) and not seeing any fan-buzz for either.
    Sentinel: Lack of flavor/theme.
Sky Pirate: Too similar to ROG and MCH and doesn't have much gameplay other then being a Thief-variant.

Some feedback. I haven't played most of the games these jobs are from, so I'm going by your descriptions of them.

    Arithmetician/Calculator
    Green Mage
    Judgemaster
    Juggler
    Mystic/Oracle
    Orator/Mediator
Support jobs (jobs whose main function is to buff allies and debuff enemies) are notoriously difficult to implement in MMORPGs in a way that's both engaging and balanced. Their effects are mostly seen through other players, which may give the support player a feeling of ineffectiveness. They would also be a pain in solo play; or if they have decent damage output of their own, the power of their buffs and debuffs will need to be limited, which diminishes the job identity. Keeping them balanced in both 4- and 8-player parties and 24-player alliances is also hard. Even if the balancing and engagement problems were solved, support would be a brand new role, so it's unlikely to happen at this stage.

    Onion Knight/Memorist/Storyteller
    Pictomancer
These would probably never be full jobs, for similar reasons as Blue Mage. It's just too hard to keep ability copying balanced against hundreds of different bosses and with almost 20 other playable classes. Maybe as limited jobs.

    Chocobo Knight
Everyone in FFXIV gets a chocobo companion, so this class would have a hard time finding its own identity.

    Sword Saint
    Isn't this basically Samurai?

    Illusionist
An AoE-focused class wouldn't work since bosses are mostly single targets. Illusions as a theme would be unique enough, but it'd have to be reworked into something with both single-target and AoE abilities.

    Sage
    Red Mage anyone?

    Hunter/Ranger/Sniper
That's a whole lot of mechanics for a single class. My first impression of traps is something you throw on the ground and wait for enemies to walk over it. In most games they tend to become more like bombs which you throw at the enemies' feet and explode immediately. Also there's a little bit of conflict with Bard already being an upgraded Archer. I suppose it could be another split job like Summoner/Scholar, but adding one at this point probably is anything but simple.

    Cannoneer/Flintlock
    Gunner/Fusilier
These sound pretty similar to Machinist. I have nothing against another gun-wielding job if it has its own identity, but your descriptions don't really make it clear what that identity would be.

I have legitimately always wanted to see Necromancer twisted into a healer role.

Took the words really right outta my mouth. For extra effect, you can blow them up at any time you want and inflict blight dmg to surrounding enemies.

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

I voted Chemist though I must say I had never considered an Ivalician Judge. That would be an idea for a really cool technical sort of fighter that can make some encounter-wide changes to assist allies or hurt enemies. It would honestly just be glorified AOE buffs and debuffs though it could still be made pretty fun and if it's a tank, one emphasizing utility would be unique.
