Big pull tanks are fine.
What gets me are tanks what gather all the mobs, wait for me to drop bubble, then run out of it like it's an AoE template. Know your markers, folks.
e: On thread topic, I've quit AST. Still playing SCH, but that's because the only interesting healing mechanic is setting up shields for lethal burst damage. I try not to think about old Selene's toolkit because it makes me cry how badly I want those tools (especially move speed - god I miss Wind Rush Totem).

Started ast in ShB and loved it.
I'd never quit... well, unless tanks decided to small pull constantly, then i'd quit out of boredom lol.

Oh I know. Even minimal makes my eyes cringe though, so I play with them off. The AST ring of stars appears when everything's set to "off", so I just wish the other bubbles did too.
after months of trying to stay astro main despite the awful changes from ShB, this new trash card system + the removal of all time spell now just became too much unbearable to me,this job no longer have the 2 things i loved (old card system & time spell) and they will most likely never going to be back
so yeah i finally lost my patience and i just quit astro + healing all together (i didn't main astro because of is healing capacity anyway) ,the timing of my quit was bad because it was while in TEA prog and my raid lead decided to disband the static because of me.... i feel awfully bad about it but i had 0 pleasure,no fun.... it was getting too much for me
will look forward ast again if they finally revert the changes but for now i'm a dancer

Yeah, in 99% off fights min ilvl you are forced to do decent dps as a healer. People say that isn’t true never do content with min ilvl. I’m pretty sure TEA would be impossible to clear without healer dps.This is a myth really. Yoshi stated that, not his developers. It has been proven many times, that at minimum ilv to beat even an EX boss, your dps would need to be playing at 90th-100th percentile or better, which is pretty much impossible. It's also unlikely Enix would intend dps to be playing at Ultimate level and healers to press a healing spell every 20 seconds and twiddle their thumbs.
They simply don't design fights intending healers to be contributing a lot of dps.


Honestly coming from an Ex-Astro main. I would be perfectly fine if they changed it to instead of me just malefic spam and throwing all balance cards on my teammates to more buffing teammates constantly role with different cards constantly throughout the fight. Since Astrologian is the lowest pDPS of the three healers, some changes I'd like to see is a damage nerf to malefic. Card Buffs need to change again, Durations need to be extended on each card as well. I've seen plenty of AST who just throw cards on random people without caring about the damage boost and I've already can tell they just stopped caring. When I played AST I just stopped caring fishing for seals, then I stopped caring who got what card. Raiders and parse runners can adjust to changes, your community will not. They'll stop playing it and eventually it's going to be the bench warmer of the three healers.

Did you ask them to slow down and pull less? I leveled all of my healers at the start or the expansion, so before they adjusted some of the healers to make them heal more, and I did have some difficulty keeping people alive. To solve this I made a macro that I used at the start of the dungeon that said, "Hello! Using ast. please pull small.". After that I didn't have a problem dying.
