Quality VS Quantity: Mounts.

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen I am here to ask one question of the community on the direction of mounts in the game.

Please take to mind that I am asking choice A or B question, If you feel you must "Have both" feel free to toss in your own C but I wont be considering it for the duration of this discussion (At least in my posts about it)

• Choice A :Quantity

Mounts as many and widely available, almost most monsters can be tamed wether it be from battle rewards or quests there is a wide selection of shapes and sizes of beasts to roam the lands upon.

• Choice B :Quality

Mounts are few and possibly only a single mount is available, on the flipside though the mount itself can be customized in multiple ways. Through battle and quest rewards the mount is able to be customized cosmetically (usabillity as well?).

What do you guys think should the developers focus on a small ammount of mounts that we can customize or should they focus on just giving us a massive selection of mounts to choose from.

Full disclosure I'm biased towards having customizable mounts rather than just a wide array of existing models with the character on top of them. I personally don't think a balance of both can be made without doing it half arsed overall.

As much as i support my goobbue I would love to have a non armored black choco with a grey beak and white feather tips that I can on a whim change as much as i want. I'm all for having just a choco as long as i can do so much more then just ride the one static choco the armor itself doesn't help anything.

Quality. I want mounts that you can continue to customize and grow. I'd rather have 5-10 good mounts than 50 random mounts.

if the goobbue was faster or slower, ppl would complain about it
if it was same speed, they'll still complain about "what the point"
i dont think its about quality/quantity, its about freedom of choice

Anyways to expand on your position on mounts as just a form of transportation I find it strange you don't see where the discussion stems from. People play MMO's for more than just getting from A-B sometimes people want getting from A-B to be part of the game itself.

Having a sense of style or immersion while doing so can be a issue for some, not everyone of course we have our immersion Nazi's and Immersion Lovers abound in the forums. But to dismiss one group as not having a issue is odd. Alot of people find Athstetics important in a MMO please don't dismiss people because it's not what you think having an opinion is one thing telling other people they shouldn't have a different one is another.

I didn't was just expressing my opinion, my apologies if it sounded like something different.

But, immersion lover/nazis is who has been complaining about gobbue mounts, so i am very cynical about them. If it breaks their immersion then please don't freaking ride it, go ahead and ride the yellow KFC. Don't diss the mounts just because you thinks it breaks your fantasy, there are people who enjoys it.

Although, i would love to see mounts takes part in a war. A full sieged armorer gobbue to piss off the immersion lovers. Hells yea.
