Quality VS Quantity: Mounts.

i feel like with more you will just be swamped with people on different mounts. and it just makes it feel stupid. at least to me. chocobo are what the series are known for. so instead of making more ridable monsters make chocobo customizable. that would set FFXIV apart. putting in more mounts will just make it the same old same old. none of them will feel special

This. I absolutely agree.. We already have one special mount, Chocobos. There is much space for customization and diversity.

Personally I lie in-between A & B. I want more than one mount, the ability to have an aesthetic choice is a very large factor in MMOs these days.

On the other side, I don't want every mount to be able to partake in the battle aspect as Chocobos are slated to do. Maybe a couple mounts that can be customized and used in battle, and several aesthetic mounts.

I can see the current zone you're in playing a role in which mount you choose to use.
