This kind of stuff that makes people call this community a big circle jerk.
FF is not the all might MMO as you guys think it is.
The game is pretty niche, its a cute anime weeb game that gets the same content since 2015. Not much people play this kind of game, as opposed to fortnite, which is easier to approach over all.
It's kind of funny tho, you guys claim that gaming media picked the nominees, so you shouldn't take their opinions seriously, and yet, you get mad because your dress up weeb game didn't won any prizes. Are you even serious lmao.
And don't even try to play "the ff team works hard yadda yadda" card when you could pretty much say that to every other studio out there, lol.
Don't get me wrong, even tho the game has its flaws, I still like it a lot myself, but stop trying to put it in a pedestal, get back on reality, folks.

Also as for *game that gets the same content since 2015* I wanna ask, How many portraits are there of beautiful women that are hailed as master pieces, how many songs new and old are there about someones first love, how many movies are about romance, how many tv shows, books, poems, operas, plays, are about falling in love.

You may see my point, art and entertainment as a medium is repetitive, you cannot reinvent the wheel, but you can make it better for general use and consumption. As far as a weeb game goes, you're playing a Japanese game, idk what you expect, and as far as dress up goes, I see you wearing the Edda outfit from the mog station, you would probably complain about the lack of the customization.

Its not putting FFXIV on a pedestal to say it deserves more then a nomination for the work people like Ishikawa, Soken, and all the people who make their work possible do.

And Lastly as far as Niche, FFXIV is probably one of the more popular MMOs out today, it WAS niche back in HW, but now it is a top MMO.

Say I'm a fan, act like its on a pedestal, but tbh it sucks that it lost out to a game that needs to copy Titanfall mechs to *be ahead of the curve*
