read it again - u promoted a mp built and claimed it over the Balance builds - and u truely thought that would be for real - and yeah i mentioned that example cause you act like a full pro back than by not beeing further than a novice. I never promoted "MP build" in HW, and i have no idea where you got that... but I do recall saying that adding some MP may be a good idea if you're doing a lot of Ruin 3s outside of Trance.

The hardcore and raiding community is why I'll continue to prefer casual content. I'll raid with friends only if the opportunity arises but no more than that. People outcasting classes, and some players as a result, because it'll mean the difference of a few percent is disgusting.

That's great and all.

But after personal experience now with RDM.

I simply do not and have never spent the majority of my time DPSing in a Raid. I'm doing one of three things, my time is divided between DPSing, Healing, and Raising.

So I cannot put much stock in FFlogs when it comes to measuring DPS from a RDM.

If you're spending time doing that your team is really bad and they're gimping your damage, and is not an attitude to take to savage

the problem with "a few percent" is if these few percent make you wipe do to enrage, or even a mechanic you wouldn't have seen because the boss would be death by now you now wasted 10-13 minutes hitting on a boss for nothing, and assuming the next try doesn't go better you may even have wasted an entire evening. more often than not it happens that you get this one 1% wipe and afterwards die for 2 hours in phase 2 cause people lack focus. its not that people care what others did after the boss drops (unless someone is playing truly abysmall) its "the stronger the group is, the more likely the boss actually is to drop dead.

While i also do not look at fflogs as "the bible" some make it seem, you cannot disqualify it from actual dmg numbers from those that actually do endgame compaired to perhaps someone that just runs expert dungeons. (just for comparisons sake)
While i do still love Red, it is very clear to see smn is just ahead of it in like every aspect..
Red is not weak AF like beginning of Shadowbringers but also is still lacking dmg wise

Fair enough,

But also consider that you were talking about an "average" from FF Logs... so you have to account for the fact a lot of Red Mage DPS being submitted probably also includes a lot of RDMs who have to do exactly what I said.

So its just not really possible to take the DPS outputs from FFLogs with regards to Red Mage to be much different as they too would include a lot of Red Mages who split their time DPS, Healing, and Ressing.
