They should lock the "pole dance" to FSH and have it be this:

I doubt we're going to get it, they probably don't want to encourage in game strip clubs/brothels. And there's a difference between an NPC doing something and having players freely do it.
I don't see a single issue with players dancing around a pole in the privacy of their own houses or apartments, Lala or not. Just implement it as a piece of indoor furniture.

Pole dancing is a legitimate performance art, just like burlesque; it's by no means limited to strip clubs, and outside of the dance world, there's plenty of people that enjoy it for equal parts fun and fitness. Just because something is sensual or erotic doesn't mean it's prostitution. On top of that, the Beehive dance is INCREDIBLY tame. Let's not turn this into a needless moral panic. We're not strippers or pole dancers. Stuff like this is not going to happen. Just because it's in the game does not mean we're suppose to imitate this kind of behavior. It may simulate what happens in the world but we are suppose to be looked up to as an inspiration to other people in the world. Not selling off our bodies for money.
To OP: yes please. I've wanted the pole and animations ever since I made it to Eulmore; I'm dying to show off my Viera legs.
But it already exists in-game? Player interactions don't change an ESRB rating whatsoever. Keep in mind that there's already adult content in FFXIV: violence, rape, slavery, racism, prostitution, cannibalism, fascist empires, and so forth.
Those exist in every popular MMO roleplay community; FFXIV is no exception. What people do in private is really no one else's business.

Personally I do not see why allowing players to have the Honeybee dancing emote is a bad thing. The “it encourages sexual behavior” argument doesn’t really hold up anymore. Especially after seeing people run around in 2B NieR bottoms? There’s plenty of things in this game that “encourage sexual behavior”. And quite frankly, it’s quite petty to draw the line at an emote. I saw someone using the Squat emote the other day in a sexual manner. I don’t care for this dance emote, but I just think it’s hypocritical and petty to deny others that request/wish after everything FFXIV has.
I just don’t think Final Fantasy XIV is the game for some people if certain adult things disturb them this much. Plus, there’s always the blacklist and report button. Let people do what they want, it doesn’t affect me or you, so long as it’s not harassment.

They already allow people to dress up in bunny outfits, maid outfits and butler outfits. Why would pole dancing be a step too far?
I don't have a problem with it, but me not having a problem with it doesn't mean SE would be comfortable with it. I'm just guessing at why I don't think they're going to add it. I could be proven wrong down the line if they do.Pole dancing is a legitimate performance art, just like burlesque; it's by no means limited to strip clubs, and outside of the dance world, there's plenty of people that enjoy it for equal parts fun and fitness. Right, it was just a regular /dance emote on a stage and while fully clothed and did not use the pole at all - although the npc's responses to your 'show' suggested otherwise...
Hence when Enki did it, she was glaring daggers at him all the time and imagining her wife there... beating him into a bloody pulp accordingly.![]()
Can't say I care for it but w/e.
