I'm all for adding more longevity to the zones, including y'know... improvements to the fate system/rewards for one. But based on the responses here, it also sounds like you (OP) either play more often or focus on open world content more than what I'd think the average player does.

I mean, I'm not even close to finishing everything there is to do out in the zones, and I play for hours almost every day. In game priorities differ obviously, but I don't know many people who actually have finished every single thing they're interested in and haven't also just stopped playing (or stopped playing for just about anything but raiding and the occasional daily queue).

So yeah, there are improvements and changes they could (and hopefully will) make, but I also think they're developing with a bit of a slower consumption speed in mind. Or just... with different priorities. Possibly both.

A break from the game or a crack at something new (if there's anything you haven't tried yet) might be worth a shot. And I'm not saying that sarcastically. I've taken a lot of breaks from the game myself, a lot of times because of burnout or because there just wasn't anything I felt like doing when I logged in. Helps break the monotony.

Question is why do you all care, if the person goes back or don't?
I mean if you say you don't care then why are you commenting?

Maybe they want some more content involving the area to give them a reason to return.

It is a good area, good music, good looks, it's easy on the eyes.

I mean who wouldn't want more content for that area.

I don't think you are using this correctly.

A person born 1930's to 1950's, I would say the 2000 and up are the issue they ruined the 80's and 90's and complain about virtually everything.

    they cant take jokes
    they cant handle movies
they cant handle being told what I am saying right now
they love taking pictures of themselves on insta
they fall out of windows while doing it or land on train tracks
I would say the people with brains hit their cap in the 90's and now we are going down hill in the 2000's.

when I say everything bugs people in today's times it's everything.

To back this off with some numbers and not only our personal assumptions and /or anecdotes about how many people we know who finished everything that is there to finish in the ShB-zones I checked out some things on lalachievements.
Disclaimer right away: The website doesnt include all characters (at least not for achievements, seems to be looking better on mounts), but I dare say that it includes enough to get an accurate idea. I checked ou mounts and achievements that are tied to different, relevant in-zone-content. For this I'll ignore every argument in regards to "Thats not content I want to do/that keeps me in the zone for a long time etc." because I dont think personal preference matters when the question is mainly "How much content is there and how many people are actually out of ALL content?"

    FATEs/Leveling
    - Amaro-Mount (for getting every battle job to level 80): 11172 out of 321729 characters; 3,5%
    - The Achievment "Merchant's Best Friend" (for unlocking all FATE-vendors): 9379 out of 92159 characters; 10.2%

    Hunts
    - Triceraptos-Mount (for killing 2000 A and 1000 S ranks in Novrandt): 323 out of 321729 characters; 0,1%
    - Forgiven Reticence- Mount (bought with 3200 ShB-huntmarks): 27749 out of 321729 characters; 8,6%

    Treasure Hunts/Maps*
    - Beauty and Its Beasts IV (For entering Lyhe Ghiah 20 times): 16474 out of 92159 characters; 17,6%
    - Happily Treasure After IV (For reaching the last room in Lyhe Ghiah 20 times): 130 out of 92159 characters; 0,14%
*I am including this despite the whole "You're only in the zone a short time"-argument because of the way my FC does maps - usually with 5-8 people bringing their maps, so you can end up with multiple maps in one zone, aswell as my personal feeling that even though you're not in the zone for hours you still get to enjoy them. You can obviously disagree with this view and just ignore this section.

    Sightseeing log
Darksighters I (Complete entries 1-45 in your Shadowbringers sightseeing log): 6933 out of 92159 characters; 7,5%

    Gathering
For this I checked the achievements for miner, botanist and fisher that require you to gather 5000 times or catch 3000 fish in Shadowbringers.
    Miner: 5903 out of 92159 characters; 6,4%
    Botanist: 7818 out of 92159 characters; 8,5%
    Fisher: 826 out of 92159 characters; 0,9%

Now, I could probably go on - and some of my choice could probably be questioned or argued about (aswell as wether or not this data is 100% accurate), but all in all this does paint a very clear picture of the majority of the playerbase still having unfinished buisness in those zones. So I'd say that for the average player there is enough content (left) to tackle - and for those who burnt through all the content they wanted to do there are other games and hobbies to take on. One RPG-style game cant possibly keep you busy forever, at least not when playing 24/7.

...its not "maybe they want more content" the OP outright said that thats what they want. And the reason people are "disagreeing" with this is mainly that most of us still have content left in those zones and therefor dont feel the need to add more right this moment. OP is in a kinda unique position of having every job at 80, everything from the FATE vendors, no intrest in using the Pixie dailies to earn tomestones etc.
They simply have a problem that most other people dont have, since most other people still have plenty of reasons left to return to the old zones.

Now you could obviously say "Well, even if you have content left, wouldnt it be still good to add more?" - which to a degree might be true, but at a certain point there are two things that you need to consider:
    1) Dev time is and always be limited, even if they'd hire more people. So it needs to be spent carefully and in a way that benefits the game the most - it doesnt make much sense to put in more over world content when the majority of people are still not done with the over world content currently offered. On top of that they need to keep their tight patch-schedulde - aswell as this game never being that huge on over world content to begin with. If being out in a world is what you're really in to, you're better off looking for a game thats build to cater to that experience.
    2) This might be a personal feeling, but I think there is something as "to many rewards" - for someone as OP every new reward added will most likely be earnt in a matter of days again... for the majority of people, who again dont even have all the current rewards yet, it might feel like there is a mountain of stuff piling up infront of them and that they'll never see the end of it. Personally I kinda like the feeling of being done with something after working towards it for a while - earning my reward, moving on, knowing that I can put a check-mark behind that. I dont mind that unchecking after a while and returning to old content - which is what OP would be doing - but if my checkmark gets put put of reach again and again it feels like I'm chasing something I'll never achieve, so might aswell just... stop.

So to me its a combination of most people still having buisness in those zones and the wish of not adding more buisness right this moment.
