5.1, and 5.11 especially, removed more playtime from the game than it added, which might be a first overall. It added one singular progression fight, one other catch-up/backfill EX primal, and one dungeon (though very good, it was as usual already outdated content upon its release. The incompetence of that design baffles me). The fairy beast quests are the shortest, least involved daily quests of all beast tribes every, some of them are literally "move 20 meters, talk to one NPC, turn in", and only the connective tissue of the one-off quests and the beautiful (but empty and dead and nonfunctional, but at least it looks pretty) dream zone are nice.
I am thoroughly confused as to why SE decided to make the Crystarium turn-ins, a newly added feature, obsolete in the first content patch too. Not to mention there is STILL nothing to do for Fisher, the job simply didnt get any lvl 80 relevant content (as anything is crafted with scrip stuff, not caught, and so far it seems no mounts, pets or otherwise cool stuff can be fished exclusively).
I yearn for the quality of the older patches, when we would get 2 dungeons, 2 primals, when beast tribe quests werent just 30 second affairs for massive XP, making us move through the zone more and engage with it a bit.
