    DRK bad running animation?

Just wondering, why is the sword pointed forwards, makes no sense running in that pose with such a heavy weapon. Why did they not make a shoulder resting pose instead while running, like auron from FFX?

Just something that nags me about DRK, making it unenjoyable aestheticly.

You are wrong it makes a lot of sense and it is how people walked with two hand swords towards enemies.

You want to point your weapon towards the enemy not resting it on shoulders or handging it in any other way in fighting stance this is the first rule of the weapon fighting craft.

I see what they were going for, but I agree. I think that type of guard looks funny during a running animation. I really think the sprint animation should be the default run for DRK.

I really think they could go a similar route to https://youtu.be/XWrQUC-AYYI?t=88 Aatrox from League for the greatsword animations.

We just need a trait that adds contact damage and knockback when we're sprinting with our weapon drawn, and it'll be perfect. (The running animation really looks like you want to pierce right through your foes)

That would be OP hahaha but yeah, i find the forward holding pose a bit silly, realisticly it would be way too heavy and you could drop the point on the ground halting your movement and possibly making you fly fowards. The shoulder sprinting animation seems more realistic with a heavy weapon like a greatsword and carrying it on your shoulder gives the weight some support.

I was joking of course, but it would be so funny to get a knockback on contact while sprinting. I would do this all day if I could!

Cus we sure wouldn't want to be able to rapidly defend ourselves from an oncoming attacker or the like...

Running in tail or change isn't actually more comfortable than running in ox -- quite possibly the opposite. Although, I'd typically draw my guard back to my immediate side (in flow between longpoint and plow) if outright sprinting while needing my sword in front of me, approaching an enemy as DRK does feels in no way unwieldy and is a hell of a lot more safe than approaching with my sword outright behind me as you're suggesting here...

Edit: That said, after using his longer/narrower skill, even that guy switches to, sure enough, DRK's stance (ox).

While I get the real world applications of such a pose...

I invoke the rule of cool.

Doesn't help much that Auri females have a weird waddle to their steps when running with sword out. Most noticable in cloth or no leggings.
