I once was doing Holminster as DRG and the other DPS was DRG aswell. He never gave me Eyes so I stopped giving him mine and instead gave it to the WAR cuz of Fell Cleave, said DRG then started to insult me and calling me a bad player cuz I "never" gave him eyes

Since I've started leveling DPS, I absolutely do not trust PUG healers to heal DPS if the tank dies and things start aggroing on to the DPS. When that happens, the healers just stand there and let the wipe happen.

Also, getting super tired of people in Praetorium - tanks, really - just letting the second skip pull chew on everyone trying to get to the teleporter. The magitek armor has bullets that go in a long line. Run them away or no one can get through the teleporter because the attack will knock everyone out of the confirmation box to take the teleporter.

So I que for 50/60/70 roulette and got the burn. Party consists of a PLD,BLM,MCH and me on SCH. There is a new player bonus at the start and I figure it is the tank since his gear was 70. The pulls were small but I didn't mind since I could dps and what not. We get to the first boss and I notice it's dying VERY slowly. Like so slow I'm seeing mechanics done three times slow. I'm looking at the mch and see their doing their rotation, then I look at the blm. Their spamming blizzard/thunder spells with the occasional fire/fire3, sigh a bit but don't say anything. The first boss goes down and we slowly make our way to the second boss, meanwhile the blm is still doing this rotation. Get to the second boss and we start, midway through I point out in chat that fire4 does more damage than blizzard/thunder spells that their spamming. Clearly that was the wrong thing to say, because the tank and blm threw a hissy fit when I said that. I was verbally attacked and told that I shouldn't demand people to change their rotation. Cut to the final boss, it goes just how you think it would. Both BLM and tank were getting frozen with stacking invul, survive long enough to get to add phase. We of course fail add phase and everyone gets frozen with another invul to add, we wipe before we can even get to the part where boss flies away. Meanwhile the tank and BLM continue to say how much of a horrible healer I am ect. So I left, I'm very sorry MCH that you got stuck with that group. I also feel bad for the next healer to deal with these people.

Please tell me you reported them after you left. I don't get why people feel the need to insult just cuz you disagree with what someone say, especially when they're facts.

I did, though I dunno if it will actually do anything. What I find sad is that I didn’t even say to do a different rotation. All I said is this spell does more damage vs this spell.

I have lost count of the amount of times that i have been personally attacked by a healer for using Clemency as a Paladin.
This includes times when i used it to top up a healer that got smacked by a boss mechanic, but had to heal someone else instead or had to brace for a tank buster.

The most common complaint i get is that "i do not trust my healers" or that "I should stick to my job" and had healers quit the dungeon over it.
It has nothing to do with trust or me thinking myself above my healers.

I simply use it as an extra mitigation tool in scenarios such as the last big pull before a boss, where i want to conserve my CD´s.
A single instant clemency between sheltrons is quite useful and does not represent a massive DPS loss.

I also prefer to top myself during mechanic heavy/position heavy bosses where i cannot reach the boss for periods of time but my healer could.
That way the healer can continue to dps, if they so wish, without having to worry if i accidentally get hit.

But apparently i am being unreasonable, because i lost someone 7 seconds in a 5 man run.

P.S: I am talking mostly of story/daily/5 man/lfr
I do not do extremes or other high-endgame content.

So AST was the second healer I leveled on Thyn'a, and I hated it. It was my main healer for a lot of SB, but it didn't feel very good at the start of ShB. I had AST as my main healer on my secondary character, but I ended up taking her WHM to 80 instead cause I really didn't feel comfortable leveling it again. Had a lot of accidental deaths (some of which were not my fault, but still I didn't feel like I had enough to fall back on if things went south like with WHM.)

That said, I have everything to 80 on Thyn' now and so I'm leveling my secondary character now. I decided to give AST another chance, since I've not played since the buffs. I queued up for leveling and got Don Mheg, which is probably my least favorite to get.... cause tanks try to double pull without silencing the Fuath :V

But this run was very different.

Smooth! I had no trouble keeping the tank up, and throwing out DPS while dealing out my cards. I decided to type in the chat how much fun it was now. We had just finished the pull with the three undies at the fake crown. The tank mentioned they heard AST was super nerfed at the start of ShB, and so I went to reply... and the tank kept going.

I thought they stopped at the first pull but they kept going.

Next thing I knew the tank was on the ground and then the BLM.

I saved the SAM and got the tank back up while the BLM returned... and I'm sitting here like. Oh no, now I look like an idiot.

I had to open my big mouth.

Then I fell off the tight rope in the last boss, literally one step away from the other side.

and I'm like... "I'm a failure, I hate this dungeon. This is why I hate this dungeon."

XD Thanked everyone and we went on our way, and everyone commed me. And I'm like... Where those PITY comms?

The run did go perfect for the first 2/3rds, but I still felt so bad.

So, I never really posted on the forums, but this story was too good to pass up.

A little after reset today, I go and queue up for Expert Roulette as a DRK and get the Twinning. Right off the bat, things get a little weird when our WHM leaves after the first pull without a word. We wait for a new healer, and, as we're waiting, one of the DPS disconnects. Oh well.

About 4 or so minutes later, we get a new WHM and decide between the three of us (me as a DRK, WHM, and NIN) we'll be fine with DPS to keep up with the bigger pulls. Everything seems to be going fine. We kill the first boss, and, after, enough time has passed to kick the offline DPS, getting a replacement RDM near the end of the next pull. I wait for the RDM to get near us and then pull all the adds up to the Second Boss.

...Then everything goes to hell. The mobs are all about at half health when my screen greys out with the dreaded bar for a Window's Update, and, me, not wanting to die, rushes to click the far right option that has to be the decline or 'remind me later' button.

It was not. I started a 3 hour Window's Update in the middle of The Twinning, and I am now convinced that poor group was cursed.
