There's something I don't get about myself.

I played Copied Factory now 4 times. The first time, I did very very well. The second time, pretty well.

And the last two times were totally abysmal. I was the guy that died every fight and at least a minimum of 2 deaths per fight, with one of them going on 4. That was latest run.

I've been re-watching a guide but I'm worried about next reset :/

Don’t worry about it too much. For what it’s worth, it may be good to run the content a few more times just to get down the timings for some of the skills/AOEs—I’m not sure how you learn...if you’re more a visual learner or hands-on, but I learn by repeatedly doing something. The more I do it, the more automatic it becomes.

It’s funny about this raid: I can’t do the usual “run into the animation” with a lot of the ball AOEs or with 9S’s laser missiles without the game registering me still getting hit by it. Despite that being the usual way you can handle AOE animations in this game. Still trips me up.

So I had a12 for normal raid roulette. A few ppl were new, 2 dps, and I think 1 healer. Mt wrote remember to get into the teleportation balls dps. Clear concise instructions, I'll give the mt that. However, when the portals came out only me and one other dps hopped in. The ot joined, cool. Adds are dying quickly and that's when I noticed both healers were dead and Alexander was working its way through the dps. The mt had joined us also for adds. Safe to say we wiped.

Ot calls out mt on why he did that and mt more or less said that the instructions hadn't been followed and there needed to be four ppl to kill all the adds. Ot then asks but why would he join as the mt and pointed out the dps was good between me and the other dps. Mt more or less admits to doing it out of spite bc new dps didn't follow his instructions.

Tldr, Mt has a fit and teleports to another dimension so the healers were eaten alive bc ppl were new and tried to justify it.

What a diva. I had a tank in E4 the other day who was similarly jerkish to players who had never run it before that ended up dying to landslides and steamroller.

I just had to come here to vent lol.

Leveling roulette with my GF, get the Qitana Ravel. She's NIN, I'm AST. We've both got some Doton and Earthly Star stuff going on, which the tank pulls out of almost every single time despite being finished with the pull. Whatever, no big deal. A lot of tanks are like this and it's not worth saying anything.

Get to the first big pull. Tank decides to pop superbolide at around 30k HP. This surprises me because I was in the process of Benefic II and I was pretty sure he would survive with me spamming it on him, but oh well. I heal him to half health and start using gravity until Superbolide expires, then heal the rest of the pull.

First boss goes by, nothing much to say there. Third big pull, he pops superbolide yet again, this time at 40k health. Still weird, but I guess maybe that's just part of his rotation for big pulls or something. More gravity spam, we all live, whatever.

Second boss, also not eventful. Finally we're on the fourth big pull, and the tank pulls out of our AOEs yet again. This one is particularly bad because I know I need the earthly star healing to keep him alive. I try to rescue him back into it, but he runs right back to where he was before. Tank dies towards the end of the pull because I can't keep up without earthly star, I raise, heal the DPS, we finish the pull. My GF says in FC chat that she wishes he would stay in the AOEs, and, more or less agreeing, I say this: "please stand in the AOEs."

And this is where it all goes to hell, my friends. Tank, first of all, despite probably knowing what I actually mean, decides that means I want him to stand in enemy AOEs. So he does. For the entire next small pull. He then says "I'm not sure about this standing in AOEs thing." Thinking he might actually be this braindead, I specify that I mean player AOEs, such as the NIN doton and the AST earthly star. He proceeds to tell us that it's our fault because we shouldn't have placed them until he was done pulling (we didn't, he just always insisted on having his back to the complete wall). He tells us that he's dodging AOEs, which makes no sense, since you can dodge one AOE and go back into the player AOEs. All I say is that "you were done pulling."

Tank proceeds to get big mad. He tells us that he's never had anyone complain about this before, which I believe, because a lot of people in this game are dead silent to avoid conversations exactly like this one. We go into the final boss. Instead of playing properly, tank decides he's gonna type insults at me and not avoid the poison puddles in time instead of, you know, playing the game. It annoys me to no end, but I keep healing him.

He lets me know he's never died before in this place until I came along. All I type in chat is "cool." Deciding he didn't get the reaction he wanted, he pops Superbolide at 40k once again and says "can you just heal? seriously," as if somehow he managed to survive this entire dungeon without a single bit of healing.

At this moment, I make an executive decision, because it's 10PM and healing someone who's insulting me feels bad man. I say "no, not anymore," and let him tank the floor. I heal the DPS through the rest of the fight and we clear without much issue. All it took was some shielding and more Benefic II than usual.

During this, tank is encouraging other people to report me for griefing. My closing remark is "didn't heal, but managed to heal tanking DPS." Then I leave.

Currently I'm awaiting my judgment from the GMs, 'cause I have no doubt that he did, in fact, report me. I filed a report of my own just to make sure his wasn't the only story floating out there, but I'm open to other peoples opinions. Was I the one who deserved the report? Did I handle it badly? I'm just so tired lol doesn't help that I'm not a big fan of how AST plays and I'm trying to just speed through leveling it so I can get rid of the leveling healing gear

The only thing you did wrong here is openly imply that you did not heal him. When handing out divine punishment as a healer onto a total asshat of a player, you do it silently. You then report. That way, you can't get slapped with griefing and best of all, the "lack" of healing then falls onto "player efficiency".

Haven't posted in a while since I moved to Aether and the quality of randoms has gone up drastically. Granted I'm only on HW on my alt but nothing happened aside from some minor annoyances, like...

Healers who use Rescue for dumb reasons. No, Mr Random Scholar, I don't want to be in your Soil. I'm not taking damage and I'm trying to cast things, y'know on a CASTER, so keep your forced movement skills to yourself.

I intentionally moved out of Soil after. Hope it made him salty ^^

The only thing you did wrong here is openly imply that you did not heal him. When handing out divine punishment as a healer onto a total asshat of a player, you do it silently. You then report. That way, you can't get slapped with griefing and best of all, the "lack" of healing then falls onto "player efficiency".

God, you're completely right. I actually thought of that afterwards, like I should've sarcastically just said, "oh no, I'm not griefing, I'm just a very bad healer, it's too hard for me uwu" and left it at that. Too bad my brain doesn't work that fast in real time lmao

I had so many tanks aoe twice on trash packs and then switch to single target over the past few days, leading to me having agro on all but one of the mobs. It boggles the mind that people can be this bad.

Can I just say just how terrible most healers are in this game? Tanks get a lot of stick for being terrible, because no usage of cooldowns, small pack pullings, the lot. But I have been leveling my Paladin through dungeons and let me just tell you that healers are equally, if not more shocking. It's just you don't see it in hindsight. Everyone stays alive and you see a DPS skill every 5 minutes? That healer must be doing a decent job! Wrong, the amount of Physick and Cure spam (sound) is driving me nuts. I am alternating my cooldowns like Hallowed, Sentinel, Ramparts, combine with Reprisal and Arm's Length, I use my Sheltrons, in other words, I have a pretty good grasp. But here we are with these majority healers that just are so bad. Divine Benison? Was dat? Regen? Was dat? Asylum? Never heard of her. Fey Union? Is that socialist or conservative? Man, healers in this game are just terrible for the most part.
