Just had the best leveling roulette I've ever seen.

Queued as DRK. Got a 23 minute in progress instance. It was Aurum Vale. In the couple of seconds it took me to reach the shortcut teleporter, the other three players killed the final boss.

Got full credit and three comms for literally no work.

Queue into The Grand Castle (I know its Cosmos, but eh) with a friend as WAR. Party composition is WHM/DRG(fr)/DNC. First pull, healer managed to pull one of the mob off my enmity before I pulled to wall and stand my ground. Healer quit after getting AA once or twice.

We kinda wait at second pull, then realized if no healer, we might as well try to inch in one mob at a time, another healer joined after burn down first mob. Healer jokes about afking, which I replied ok as long as regen on. He change to try and get ahead of me of enmity, I respond by charging like a madman, as all Viking Warrior should be.

Last boss, that Healer died at the first red marker. The remaining three decided not to go down without a fight and pressed on, and managed to cleared it. Left the duty confused how did we even did that.

I have a funny one! I was doing a MSQ duty roulette a little while ago, when immediately the entire party noticed this one exceedingly creepy guy in the back of all of the cutscenes that looked like the pope. And yes, I managed to catch a screenshot of him


I cant really put my finger on what it is about him but every time there was a cutscene everyone was completely distracted by this one guy and how inexplicably creepy he was.
(He was a good sport about it, but also played the character, lol)

There's something I don't get about myself.

I played Copied Factory now 4 times. The first time, I did very very well. The second time, pretty well.

And the last two times were totally abysmal. I was the guy that died every fight and at least a minimum of 2 deaths per fight, with one of them going on 4. That was latest run.

I've been re-watching a guide but I'm worried about next reset :/

This is what bugs me about this game sometimes. This content should be fun, not stressful. But it's hard for it not to be when the game a) tricks you into dying, and b) other people get you killed (at times through no fault of their own).

The first and only time I did Copied Factory, it wasn't awful, but it wasn't fun either. One healer got hit by a ton of stuff. Both of our healers died a bunch. I died a bunch.

I was RDM. I thought it would be less stressful. Boy, was I wrong. I accidentally took on the role of secondary healer as well as being a DPS, and all this while learning mechanics.

I was just overstretched. I was stressed. I wasn't allowed to play the game. I wasn't allowed to learn things or adapt. I was basically performing triage on our party the whole time.

I left embarrassed.

I got over it. xP

Try not to worry too much. This game has some absolutely horrendous game design. I got over that, too. But as such, I can't blame anyone. Everyone tried. It's just kind of whatever.

Found out you don't need a tank for the final boss of Cosmos today. Tank died to the fire, released, and I ended up tanking it from 80% to death. Not exactly the most comfortable position to be in but it was fun.

I don't think it's that odd. I play kind of decently some days. And others... For no reason that I can pinpoint, i can't find neither the focus nor the coordination. It frustrates me, but it is how it is. I think that my brain has more annoying latency spikes than my connection. In the case of Copied Factory, i still haven't been able to do a run with 0 deaths (working on it!) but I love the raid, crazy as it can get, and judging from the good mood I always encountered there, nobody will crucify you for dying, so don't worry and enjoy it. There are days... and daaaays

I queued for expert roulette as DNC and got the grand cosmos. I got matched with a DRK, AST and NIN. The healer was afk for 3 minutes at the very start without saying anything. :| Whatever. We make it through trash and the first boss fine although the healer seems to be afk most of the time. No damage spells going out, letting the tank get dangerously low and not really playing cards. On the second double pull after the first boss the tank goes down pretty fast and I’m tanking for half a second before I die shortly followed by the NIN. I guess the healer woke up though because they raised the tank and kept him alive while the NIN and I run back.

Now the second boss. I don’t know the name of the attack, the one where there are a few safe spots and everyone has the red circle? Well the first time I went far away, passing up the closer safe spot so the NIN could be closer to resume fighting. But he followed me out to the farther spot for some reason? That’s annoying, but okay. Until that attack comes again and again the NIN follows me out. This time he decided to stop and type out “f***** p” and because of this he didn’t get inside for the donut and died. He respawned to the entrance and left. Okay...

A SAM replaces while we finish the boss. We get to the trash that comes out of the paintings and the tank is not even trying to keep aggro? Someone marks a monster with 1 but hello, there’s 4 enemies here and I love DNC aoe. I pull 2 of them off the tank and it’s a couple of hits to the face before he picks them up.

Same thing with the second group that comes out of the painting, I’m doing the DNC thing and tanking the majestic horse because the DRK is only using single target. Okay...

Last boss is fine mostly. The SAM lights up some furniture with the red fire and somehow dies, I wasn’t paying attention tbh. The healer eats dirt when the boss is around 20%, SAM uses the LB2 and the DRK used living dead to prolong his death but goes down around 3% but we managed to finish it off before it could destroy me next.

I walked out with 2 comms, maybe pity comms because that NIN was out of line. That was enough of a circus for me and I went back to playing NG+ after.
