Ishgardian Restoration world visit.

Right now I'm locked out again, although this time I'd decided I really can't be bothered with all this bobbins, and have ignored it most of today, but just wanted to turn in some collectables I'd made. Thing is, as soon as I zoned into Foundation, I'm reading players insulting other players, arguments of a generally malcontent nature. Only one or two were trying their best to calm things down. I'm too old for this crap and I've parked myself in an inn room to wait for the stupid to go away.

The situation has deteriorated. Fix it asap, pls. Thanks.

At least by the time I've punted this post into the thread it should be somewhat quiet once more.

Just wanted to thank SE for a swift response. I'm not saying no one can or cannot have issues now, just that I'm glad they're in contact with us. Communication is a rough thing since it's easy to be like "I don't want to hear your excuses, fix it anyways", but I want to hear from SE and even if sometimes it feels painful to talk to us I just wanted to say I'm glad.

Anyway, everyone carry on describing your issues and hopefully we'll get to the bright light at the end of whatever tunnel we're in. Which might be an extra long and dark tunnel for me since I'm fairly certain we are building more of my least favorite type of housing lol (looks just like a housing Ward). Watching/helping it grow as the restoration system expands and improves should be fun at least. I do like the DoH/DoL changes so far and have had fun messing around with them, and I've always enjoyed watching a location change (huge fan of area growth/visual feedback).

Instead of a 3 minute fate that only those present at a specific time get to take part in, why can't the fate just be present for that 10 hour no-progress period (2 hour wait for the fate + the 8 hour wait for the next leg after) and restrict people to only getting credit once? That gives people time to partake without having to flood the instance at one exact point in time. Ideally it would be a 24 hour period after a leg has finished to allow for people on various schedules to get in on it, but that 10 hour window is better than a few minutes. As devs you should know better by now. You've seen it with the special fates that reward mount/pet/etc currency causing zone lockouts. This isn't new, please stop designing things to prevent participation.

Great comment here. The up front communication is what puts SE above other games developers IMO. I don't believe Blizzard devs tell their community anything apart from when they might be selling new merchandise.

After trying the Ishgard Rebuild for awhile I can see the introductory nature to it and its enjoyable enough crafting that I am certain I will eventually unlock all of the new script rewards. Looking forward to future instalments and the possibility of high level crafting to yield better rewards. E.g. Crafting raids.

Upfront??? They ignore anything that puts them in a bad light usually or resources,manpower, or some other generic excuses. They literally can put a precanned response. I am not sure what Blizz is like now, but they had 1000X better community interaction up to and during LK. Actual discussions and interactions about decisions.


Let us also look at it this way. He says they did think this might be a problem. A real response would have issued a statement before the patch went live and a notice to the players they would take measures. Right now nothing has happened and they are hoping it blows over. Most content in this game is finished in days if a week. So literally he is going to wait till it is mostly done and they say it has settled.



I am more disturbed by the strange almost cult like support, then the actual problem in the game.

• The number of crafters and gatherers varies considerably between Worlds. The Worlds with the most crafters and gatherers have over four times as many as those with the least.
• Worlds with low numbers of crafters and gatherers would struggle to carry out concerted works without visitors from other Worlds, creating a risk that those players would not be able to experience this content as intended.

The difference in the number of active crafters and gatherers is the main reason for the varying degrees of progress between the various Worlds shown on the Lodestone’s Builders’ Progress Report.

To help ease this disparity, we decided to allow players to visit other Worlds within their data center and lend their assistance to the Ishgardian Restoration efforts of that World.

I strongly agree with the reasons why you made this happen. As with my previous feedback about the Ishgardian Restoration the only real suggestions I have to help with this is:

1. Add a collectable appraiser outside of the instanced firmament
2. Make the 'Fate' a temporary instance that is 'Queued' for or that multiple instances can be spawned/created for.
3. Allow the Progress meter to be seen outside of the instanced area.

The toxicity is getting worse. Had several people admit they don't care about the scripts, they are just there to "takes spots" or to harass others, and how they are all better then the server they are on.

The banter on my world so far was mostly light hearted during the 1st concerted works, some wanderers were trying to annoy people before they got out talked by everyone and eventually went quiet. I reported the few who were deliberately trying to annoy people.

This entire thread is like seeing an Ul'dah child throwing a tantrum because they got 270 presents for their nameday instead of 300 like last year. And it has not even been 3 days.

This is not Eureka, this is not Stormblood launch.

And yet the complaints have the same essence as though it were so.

Every consumer has the right to be upset and launch a formal complaint or write a negative review. But you know what just looks silly?

Writing in a way that translates to stamping one's feet, hollering and waving your arms around.
