    That's what I mean when I said I doubted it. They aren't donating with items they are coming for 500 scrips, the level for their crafter, and the gil. Are you following me on here bc I suggested people partake on other servers so they can get the benefits when they get locked out? I'm honestly not for it, I was merely suggesting people do what is screwing them over until the devs decide to wake up and FIX the problem. I do not think wanderers should be on my server clogging up my fate and locking us out. If you look at my posts they are passionately against having wanderers on my server. I am quite literally on the same side as the people who are pissed. I am just jaded and played this game long enough to believe that the devs will take their sweet time. And their reply honestly suggests this.

    So many problems with the response from SE.

    1. Players aren't going server to server to help craft & items, they're only doing it to get into fates, then leaving to go to a fate on another server.
    2. The claim is that this content is to introduce newer players to crafting... then why allow for the server hopping? New crafters are being turned off by the fact that they can't get into their own firmament, meanwhile long-time crafters are taking advantage of the system. Surely it would be better to server-lock the firmament and let new crafters pick up the slack on less populated servers.
    3. Additionally, would it not have been a better solution to simply balance the requirements based on the server, like how fates are automatically difficulty balanced... rather than allow people to jump server to server and congest the zones?

    I understand that your intentions were somewhat decent here, but the implementation is beyond terrible.

    Also, what's the point of having something that's server wide progression when people from other servers can contribute?
    You design a system that allows a server to come together and accomplish something as a group, and then you completely ruin that design choice by allowing people from other servers to not only come in and do half the work, but also lock out people from that server. You set up something to be invested in, then designed the systems around that to make that investment completely meaningless. Now it's just another grindy scrip system... because we didn't have one of those already...

    Just missed participating. Not because I couldn't get in, but because there were so many people around that the interactive items for the event never loaded. So I basically just waited two hours for nothing.

    Exactly this. I loved watching these areas grow as well and I’ve been a huge fan of Ishgard since Heavensward, so my excitement on being able to help rebuild it has been at an all time high. I came home from work yesterday, eager to get started, only to find out that I missed the initial progression and won’t ever be able to see it. Honestly, if things stay the way that they are, most of us won’t even be able to participate until progression is finished for the most part which is extremely disappointing. I want to trust the devs here when they say they’ll resolve the issue, but all I foresee is another situation like they implemented with housing, whereas unless you have 8-12 hours a day to stand in one spot and wait, you’re going to miss out. It’s really frustrating to pay a monthly sub for a game and not even be able to do the content.

    Is it possible that it's an issue because of people's settings? Because if an old Standard PS4 can load that just fine, a Gaming PC should as well, yet friends had same issue. All I and my PS4 did different from them was disable names from PCs.

    He isnt wrong about low pop servers.

    The problem is NA and EU dont have them except the two new ones, and those are already roughly the size of the smallest 5 JP servers.

    JP has a handful of 37-40k pop servers, because they have a smaller population and 8 more servers to have them on.

    The smallest non-new NA/EU server is DOUBLE the size of the smaller JP servers.

    It's the same reason why housing is wonky here. It's the same reason why EVERYTHING designed to work with the size of JP servers ends up feeling terrible elsewhere.

    World Visitors aren't turning in things for progress, they're clogging up the zone afking once they see the fate is coming up in 1-2 hrs. Even on Crystal, the smaller servers aren't terribly behind the larger ones. Its inevitable that the turnout will drop once people get their loot...but did SE really not foresee it being a hot mess for the first few weeks?

    At the absolute very least this zone should have had the 3 instances so that even if you are locked out of the fate you can turn things in for your home server. After I got home from work I was locked out of Balmung's Firmament for over an hour because people were camping for the fate that early.

    I was so sure this is what they were going to do, i thought it would be stupid to do anything else. I guess I forgot to take into account that they might Square-Enix it (ie bungle it completely and release poorly thought out and developed content)

    This patch really, really has destroyed my desire to play the game.

    I put all of this effort into leveling my crafting jobs, desynth skills, learning the rotation, etc. In one fell swoop you change my rotations, get rid of the need to have every crafting class leveled, make leveling desynth easy, and make leveling easy. Also, the price of materia that I used to meld my gear is now going to fall enormously.

    In addition you made the new content for beginners and glamour seekers, not for serious advanced crafters, which I was expecting because you called it endgame.

    You hurt veteran crafters and economy fans in so many ways all at once... There's nothing new to do that adds to progression and now the prices of so many things are ruined. I had 400 Fieldcraft 2 Materia that is now worth 10% of what it was thanks to the changes made.

    Ugh.
