Unfortunately, it's currently the most gil efficient way to get materia (it's more turnins than white scrips, but uses fewer mats useful elsewhere), so until the price for those craters, crafting the top level turnins is going to remain viable, which will include the duration of the currently implemented restoration steps.

True, but do you think enough people are going to farm it for materia to make a significant difference? Right now there is a large participation rate because of the novelty of new content and the new exclusive rewards, once both those wear off it'll be three groups I imagine; People who want to see it finished, people who are leveling crafters, and people farming materia/skybuild materials, and I don't think that's going to be a large enough group to cause the issues we currently see. At the very least participation will become a lot more sporadic compared to now, unless the FATEs significantly step up in terms of engagement and rewards. As it currently looks, they're not worth the rabid hype people seem to be putting on them, people are going to sit on their own server crafting for Skybuilder Scrips at potentially a faster rate than server hopping to take part in a very lackluster FATE process.

While I agree with op something needs to happen such as adding instances, please all of you, just join the Ishgardian Restoration discord. It has timers for all servers listed that way if you miss out on your own server you can then feasibly go to another world 30mins to an hour ahead of time and wait. While having to plan and waste time waiting sucks, it at least will allow you the opportunity to at least participate in fates and gather the scrips and exp.

There really should have been multiple instances for this. Hopefully they're working on that atm. World Transfer has only made it worse.

Yeah Yoshi P just said in another thread that they left it enabled so larger servers can help smaller servers, if people keep abusing it like that Discord is doing he said there are emergency features in place to block players from other worlds from entering.

TLDR: stop playing the system or Yoshi P is going to stop you.

This is part of the problem though, along with CWLS doing similar things. You're taking the spot away from someone else, repeating the cycle.

Siren's was locked down as well, filled with people saying we shouldn't be entitled to the event on OUR server and gloating about locking people out of their own server's area...this has brought out the worst in some people and I hope SE does something to prevent this from happening like they should have in the first place.

There should be multiple instances that's really what the problem is. Hopefully they'll address that issue quickly.

I don't like the solution to use discord and cwls, but one of those systems are literally built into the game. I doubt square is going to be fast at fixing the issue if they will at all. They often take a week to respond and seeing how helping Ishgard grow is a server wide, one time thing, it's better to look for a solution to participate if locked out of own server. Unless you all just wanna complain. Then go ahead. I'm not exactly happy I have to be an hour ahead of time to participate.

Ya I want actual proof that he actually said this bc there is no way he can track any of use using discord. In fact, all it takes is for me to go from Ishgard to Ishgard and write down the times until each fate and map it out. Do that once or twice a day and I can feesibly have a good Ishgard fate train for myself. And on the other hand, if he did this to help a small server like mine, I doubly mad bc I do not and did not want a hundred people from Balmung blocking me out of my own server event.
