Square can't use this as an excuse when independent modders have not only increased the resolution of the faces and hair on old races, but have also made in-game hairstyles work on viera. Hrothgar are more challenging due to the poor way they were designed though.I don't wear headgear ever and always keep it turned off. I like my hairstyle options. Do I agree they need more for both Viera and Hrothgar, yes. Am I happy my character model and face has way more polygons and details than you'll ever have? Heck yes! I will take a more detailed character model over hairstyle options and headgear. I look freaking fantastic in cutscenes.

Modders don't have deadlines and stockholders breathing down their neck.Square can't use this as an excuse when independent modders have not only increased the resolution of the faces and hair on old races, but have also made in-game hairstyles work on viera. ♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥

Modders also do not do it full-time and do not get paid for that (which closes with the first part of the sentence). They do not drive into an office as full-time fully paid game designer. Especially deadlines should mean the actual staff get something done, innit?
Stop defending such stuff. Square Enix, RIOT Games and ArenaNet always come up with ridiculous statements. I do not believe it takes hundreds of work hours (translates as 4 days full-time of one single person) for some hairstyles or headgear. ArenaNet for example says it takes 9 months to develop a set of gear. Because of the genders and such. 9 months! Let one person work 37.5 hours/week on it and take away a generous 1 month of vacation, it is 345 hours of work. And they work in teams, so go and multiply.
That would mean the current 1.0 or 2.0 hairstyles ALONE would have taken literal years alone to develop. Do you really believe that?
I do not believe a single bit what any video game company say about that. RIOT took 4 years for a replay tool - something a random guy did in his sparetime 3 years prior on his own, without support.
Haha, tell it to the marines, dude..
Sincerely,

yeah. i hope that square didnt become bethesda, their game is laughable without mod.[FONT="Franklin Gothic Medium"][SIZE="3"]Modders also do not do it full-time and do not get paid for that (which closes with the first part of the sentence). one thing that tickle me off is this game is a money maker for them, yet they burned all our cash for other game. why yuo let this happen yoshida?? if one of the mod see this post, please tell yoshida the monetarist of Uldah want their money back.

And the mods glitch like crazy and don't work with everything. You think SE would tolerate that?Square can't use this as an excuse when independent modders have not only increased the resolution of the faces and hair on old races, but have also made in-game hairstyles work on viera. Yes we need more hairstyles added and I will admit it's disappointing that we didn't get anything for 5.1. Lets hope that won't be the case moving forward.

Clipping isn't what i'm talking about and please don't go there if you're trying to defend the mod community. And let me add that mods are client side and not server side. If they were the whole game would come crashing down.
We aren't getting the missing genders it's pretty obvious how difficult it's been to add these two let alone two more with tons of new content that needs to be adjusted for 5.0.

They've had a number of requests to add things - such as new facial hair options for male characters - only to claim it would be too hard despite modders managing to implement it in a way that looks good. So I'll admit to not having much patience, especially when situations such as this arise. Hrothgar and Viera players deserve better.

I'm not disputing that we need some content and quickly. I personally was disappointed we got nothing for 5.1. Hopefully they'll address the issue in an upcoming letter because the community deserves to know what is coming and when. The fact we got no new race specific hair let alone some of the other ones people would like to see. They've had a number of requests to add things - such as new facial hair options for male characters - only to claim it would be too hard despite modders managing to implement it in a way that looks good.
