Seeing as neither he nor you have any way of knowing this, his claim that he finished it before they did is exaggerated nonsense. And that's unfortunate, but 1 person in a dungeon doesn't get to dictate where the other members get to explore if the rest of the group decides to, not even the tank.

I don't see the problem. I would have been happy to be kicked from a group like this.

I mean, so would I. That doesn't change the fact he was in the minority, and demanding three other people cater to his preference. I make no secret how I prefer fast, efficient pulls to get things over with. But if I get a group that wants to explore, I'll either deal with it or leave.

I can verifiably tell you from own experience being kicked as a tank and queueing immediately after has gotten me good results in the end. These groups take too long and waste time on trash (literally). Being kicked is the most optimal solution to this problem. You don't have to have a 30 minute timer, and can hop right back in to a (hopefully) better group.

Leaving only punishes you, then you have 30 minutes plus the time wasted with them. Optimally, you wouldn't get kicked at all, you would kick the people going and doing random trash, but sometimes you just gotta take what you can get.

Considering the other group would have had to wait on another tank to que, load, and catch up to the group only to be forced in to clearing every room, I'm fairly confident the next group that skipped all that nonsense easily finished before the slow af group.

Instead, when you queue into a random dungeon group you accept what the party overall wishes to do. Call me crazy, but i kinda doubt the guy insisting that him alone as the tank "dictates" what the group does - you know, the same one whos made more then half a dozen posts arguing/defending his position in the last 5 hours - i kinda doubt that guy would have acted any differently then he did here with a more communicative group. The type of guy who gets(justifiably) kicked from a group, goes online to complain about it, then calls everyone who disagrees with him a "carebear club" just doesnt seem likely to react reasonably.

It might not have avoided all the problems - depending on the people involved, but it is true that a little communication goes a long way.

More than once I have asked "Is it okay if we do a full clear?" at the beginning of a dungeon with optional rooms - and more often than not the rest of the group has been okay with that.
