Mr.Happy and Meoni (for Fashion Report and other stuff)

Mr.Happy and Meoni (for Fashion Report and other stuff)
Zepla hq! She's awesome and so funny!

Frosty is great, I got into him through PVP but I gradually watched more of his stuff and he's great.
Larryzaur's journey to clearing UCOB was so out of left field and it was pretty interesting. I highly recommend watching an archive of it since it's waaay different this his normal goofy stuff.
Meoni is good for showcasing and going over updates if I'm out at work and his voice is really relaxing.

I actually avoid Mr. Happy if at all possible, and have been pretty successful since 2.0. No offense to the guy, but his guides are -way- too long. I primarily use MTQ or whatever other youtuber has it out soonest and 15mins or under (even that's too long imo). Guides should really be concise, purely informational, and offer quality video (slowed / focused) of the moves being explained. Imo, that's why MTQ is queen in this field. The only criticism I have is she doesn't get her guides out fast enough at times. That's no excuse. I remember said Gaurda EX guide and was put off by it as well, and a bit surprised also as he has been a MNK main for as far back as I can remember. He did redeem himself a bit though with the King Thordan normal guide where he asks, "Why are you even here?", implicating to do the fight blind in order to get the full experience from it.
Anywho, a proper guide cannot be discriminatory and special attention should be given to mechanics that give players trouble. Mr. Happy has gotten much better in both regards. As long as he doesn't have to explain starboard/larboard type mechanics, all good!
Personally, I like the longer guides, because the shorter guides often leave out too many things for my taste. Very often I've tried seeing a "shorter" one only to still be surprised by mechanics/patterns that I did not see mentioned in the guide.

Happy is always weird. I remember when Seiryu EX came out he and MTQ both had guides up at the same time, while MTQ treated the entire fight like normal Happy did a very casual explanation and it was way less of an info dump of the fight. I dunno how the rest of his guides fair now, but that was one of the few cases I think he did a better job simply by just being chill about it and it turned a 10 min vid into 6 min of explanation for the highest dps check EX at the time.I actually avoid Mr. Happy if at all possible, and have been pretty successful since 2.0. I used MTQ for both 5.0 EX's and using it for E3S and it's been great so far but I vary it up more watching perspective vids for whatever role I'm playing to better gel in what I need to worry about.
I liked when Xenosys made videoguides, they went straight to the point and were easy to understand. Otherwise, I don't have a personal preference. I type "X guide" and I watch all of them, since some guides may miss some info that other YouTuber has covered and maybe they will also showcase different strats. Then I watch vids on my job's PoV to see the mechanic "in real time". Though, I'm more of a fan of written guides, since I can read these at work.
Now, when it comes to funny XIV vids:
- ZeplaHQ, she's just adorable and funny!
- Denmo made me laugh more than I'd like to admit. He has amazing video editing skills.
- I don't remember the name, but it was for a voice over contest. Some dude made a vid of the "Garlean superiority" ft. Zurvan and Regula Van Hydrus. It had me rolling.
- And recently...
I found this channel! All I can say about them is:Btw, if ya'll haven't found this, definitely give it a peek
Lalalala Productions - great music videos with XIV content

I love watching Meoni videos, but also mrhappy, larryzaur and work2game. Also when he does content Tarutv.

Drak and NEST content always cheers me up, I love their group dynamic. I've started watching more of Meoni's content and I enjoy his discussions as well as the info he provides for the fashion reports (which admittedly I'm not always good at remembering to do every week >_<). As for raid guides, I generally watch both Mr. Happy and Mizteq and compare notes between them. They both have their strengths and weaknesses when it comes to the effectiveness of their guides.

Larryzaur taught me so much about the classes in their Basically videos.
