Regarding the RNG of the Cups:

I think if you can follow the cups up to the point where they go back into the middle and spin quickly you can guess it correctly. I've tried it twice thrice and successfully got the gold pile every time, but I could have just gotten lucky.

EDIT: failed my the 4th try. IDK
