Greed. Old S ranks provide nothing but faster acquisition, whether it be direct rewards or achievement progression. There are those that would like to experience old S-rank hunts without zerging or overpowering them, but they're an incredibly small number.

People are not greedy for wanting to be able to actually get credit on hunts they worked on spawning.

The low HP on ARR S ranks just encourage deviants to just start camping potential spawn points if they see someone working on spawning something so they can kill it before anyone else does.

They're a minority but they're still making hunting on the Aether DC an absolutely miserable experience compared to how it used to be.
