Mogstation payment restrictions for Steam Accounts???? Seriously???

I just put crysta directly on my account about 2 am est this morning. Renewed my sub and my retainers with it just fine. I don't deal with Steam Wallet, even though my game was bought through Steam.

Did you check since you bought that crysta if you can use it for sub? And if the other options like card payment are still there? Trying to get to the bottom of whether this is a bug or a genuine change.

I decided to go ahead and try out something just to make sure I wasn't giving you false information. So this is what it looks like on my end, and the payment options are all available both through the first home interface and through the your account interface.
I went ahead and put some some Crysta and bought a minion. 48 Crysta leftover.

Not sure what might be causing this issue for you though.

I decided to go ahead and try out something just to make sure I wasn't giving you false information. So this is what it looks like on my end, and the payment options are all available both through the first home interface and through the your account interface.

The Credit card/Crysta is not there for me. So unless you need to have 1 crysta for that to show up. (Which seems a little bit strange) then this involves some kind of bug. And if that's the case for mogstation items as well its still forcing steam users to go through the middle man. So it still seems a bit like a pointless restriction.

Did you try to see if the "Add Crysta" option is there under the "Square Enix Account Settings" tab on the homepage of the Mog Station? There is two ways to add Crysta. That being the other one.

But I don't want to add crysta. I just want to use a payment method that doesn't need a middle man and is easy to keep track of and doesn't expire. (Since crysta does actually expire). Removing straight debit/credit options for steam users is a pointless restriction if you can just use said debit/credit for crysta.

Maybe I don't get what you're trying to do, but all payment methods are available to me as a Steam User, on the Mog Station. Just I can't buy my DLC's via Square Enix, only through Steam. Renewing sub I can use all the available payment methods

Yes, I logged in just fine. I put crysta on my account every month at renewal time. Never had a problem, didn't have a problem this time either. All payment methods were available and nothing out of place.
