The limit for small house is 200/20 x 2 = 400/40. That's large house storage size so you can move straight away.I'm a bit confused tbh. I moved from a small house straight into a mansion before the 5.1 maint. It was just there and I freaked out and instantly relocated. I didn't think I would get any shirogane mansion or anything so I was like f**k it I'm taking what is available! And I'm very happy I got it. It's actually the exact same as where my FC house is just in another ward. But I moved and I never put any of the things in my house into storage. They all went into storage WHEN I moved. Was this a special req purely for the 5.1 new wards or what? 0.o
The main reason why the Party Finder is not working for the harder content and so many groups disband after few wipes is caused by the players who ignore the comments.
Getting to the phase XYZ once does not mean you are ready to join parties to do XYZ.
Parties should spend most of the time doing the phase that is written in the comment not trying to get there.
Basically this. If your wife had 300 items placed inside and the total of garden placed+garden storage+ house storage is bigger than 400/40 she can't move. And on a medium it's pretty easy to get above that. I think on a small you can have everything full and it lets you relocate.
SO when relocating you should always check your storeroom status to see if you have green checkmarks, if you do, you can relocate, if not, it won't let you.
edit: I took ages to write this post and by the time i posted it it turns out Archaell has already explained pretty much what I just said.
Yeah, i don't know. I just don't know. But the more I see the more I'm upset for my Wife cause i don't like seeing her get cheated and i really feel like she was cheated here. Just...... really upsetting the more I hear. Makes no sense.I'm a bit confused tbh. I moved from a small house straight into a mansion before the 5.1 maint. See this is still very confusing it isn't clear and obviously My wife and I are the only ones unclear about this. And id the storage limit is the issue the storage limit should have been increased to equal the capacity of the house to being with. This system is so flawed its ridiculous and whats even worse is it shows a lack of common sense in the execution of this system.Basically this. Yes the system sucks. And I feel sorry for your wife. I really hope she gets lucky and randomly sees a mansion opening up or that we get a new housing area so people move and she can find one. And if not that I hope they up the furnishing limit a bit. I wish everyone could get the house they wanted if they have the gil for it, but with the current system it won't happen.See this is still very confusing it isn't clear and obviously My wife and I are the only ones unclear about this. You know bottom line there needs to be a simplified system There needs to be more large plots. 504 plots for a server that carries 3 times plus that amount in players is not enough. we don't need anymore small houses and medium houses are pretty plentiful too. We all know that we all want that large plot. A house big enough not only do go crazy with all our creative efforts but that we can store the step by step story progression trophies that come along with it. How many statues of bosses and wall trophies are there in this game? There are lots of them and we would All like to display these trophies in the houses we worked hard to acquire. But small and medium houses don't have the space let alone the item cap to allow us to do that. Why should FC's be the only houses? An FC house is shared by a bunch of people but I personally want my own space with my own style and my choice of decoration just like my wife does in hers. It should be a prize and attainable reward we all should have access to if we have put in the time and effort to purchase it. We don't need anymore small houses the wards should be Large houses from here on out in my opinion. There's plenty of apartments and small houses and even medium houses in the game don't need anymore.
And I know I'm sounding angry here but after all this I'm feeling pretty indignant about the situation. Just doesn't seem right the way things are set up.

The system exists so that you can relocate without ruining your current home. Imagine having to put all the items in your inventory just to lose the plot and then having to put everything back.
Your wife lost the plot because she hadn't done enough research. The warning about storage cap is among first google searches - I have seen it several times while preparing to jump from small plot to medium plot.
Now you know how it works and can prepare for the next free plot.

How is that different than having to replace everything back from the storage? what you say makes no sense. whether putting it in storage or in inventory if you don't move you still have to put everything back in place anyhow. So what you say makes no sense. The system exists so that you can relocate without ruining your current home. And my Wife rightly assumed it would be no different from when she moved from the small to medium. And shes not the only one who make that inference.
The system is flawed and should be simplified and can easily be done so by increases int storage capacity of the storage to equal the cap of a house's items both indoor and out so that when someone relocated the items can automatically be found in storage. How is that unreasonable? Its a very obvious solution and should have been that way from he start.
She has enough to deal with in her life then to have to do research on something that should have been logically set up with a little common sense. So back off my wife buddy.
I think you misunderstand. You don't need to have the items in your storage to move, they can be out in the house. you just need to make sure to not exceed the limit of the relocation requirements. Your wife couldn't move because she had too many items in the storage so it went over the total of 400/40.How is that different than having to replace everything back from the storage? what you say makes no sense. whether putting it in storage or in inventory if you don't move you still have to put everything back in place anyhow. He also didn't attack your wife, so no need to be rude and letting your emotions take over. Fact is the information is out there and she should have done research. Yes the system is flawed and it sucks that it happened to your wife but now she knows.
Plenty of people here with issues and we all have to deal with the same system.
