Terminus Est is his ultimate move. That's when you use your limit break. If you don't use it, you die. He becomes invulnerable and your limit break becomes available immediately upon him starting to cast that ability, and you have until the end of its cast bar to use it.

In my video, the limit break button wasn't active during the whole Terminus cast:

I forgot to record the successful run, but LB became usable after the terminus cast that didn't kill me, so I clicked it then, and finished it.
Also, when I was trying to kill one of the edge adds earlier, I cast one 3 or 4 AOE before returning to the boss. I wonder if that killed the little ones, making the Terminus Est ineffective.

Yeah, Terminus Est isn't what was killing you previously, its just the arrow direction move the enemy uses.
What -was- probably killing you was all the mini- bit adds using Self Detonate, which is an automatic wipe if you don't hit the entire-room wide aoe move you got at least once while they're alive. The entire instance comes down to:

Use 1 & 2 to damage boss.
Use 4 as its up
If any adds spawn, hit 3 till everything dies.
Hit 5 to end the instance the instant you have LB up.

Doing it every time they add main story quests is what "non-stop" means. They did it in 4.3, they did it in 4.4, they did it in 4.5, they did it in 5.0, they did it in 5.1.

I enjoy it, it lets me try a diet version of a job, and trying out that diet version may make me what to pick up the real job that I had no interest in picking up.

I also enjoy playing as another person, man I find it SICK when I played as Hien and Alphinaud.

It depends on the character I am playing and how long the sequence is. The one in patch 5.1 was perfect, but Thancred vs. Ranjit was seriously the worst part of Shadowbringers.

I liked the bit before that fight, but yes that was probably the most intentionally padded fight in a game I've ever seen.
