Nier raid 2b outfit rant.

Honestly, I'm okay with the grind on this content. I loved Nier Automata so much, and really enjoy the new raid (since some of the movesets were similar to the games version). To be frank, Yokotaro did what Yuya Tokuda (MHW Director) didn't do in #FFXIV, which is cop out its fan base within a game on a crossover event/raid/trial. This man gave us 2B and 9S outfits because they knew we wanted this ingame. Why wouldn't we have wanted actual Rathalos gear from MHW?? I hope Tokuda learns from this and doesn't try doing another cop out in the future regarding gear taken straight out of the game and lead into our world (should they decide to do more monster hunter events). Such a disappointment in gear looking like garbage compared to actual Rathalos gear.

Eeer. It wasn't Tokuda's choice for the Rathalos gearset being... Well, what it was in FFXIV.
It was literally Yoshida's team who wanted a more "made in Eorzea" look of the iconic Rathalos set.

Same as it wasn't in Taro's hands to add 2B outfit or not. I mean, sure, we can still thank him for this, there will never have enough thanks in his direction for many reasons, but it wasn't really his choice at the end.
Tokuda doesn't need to learn anything from this, especially since it was Ryōzō Tsujimoto, the producer of the Monster Hunter series, that handled the whole collaboration with Yoshida. And after the highly faithful FFXIV event the whole MHW team made (I mean : between the mog, the details during the Behemoth fight, the first part of the event with the Kulu ya ku and the crystal, the different cactuars, the emote and the drachen armor set---), I doubt we can blame them for the crappy Rathalos set we got on FFXIV.

Here, we can see a bit how they worked together during that collaboration. They shared things between them, then had to be both agreed about it. Still a shame we didn't get the iconic Rathalos set though, nor its real color scheme...
(and the fact that the Palicos don't have their real running animation, nor any animation when near another Palico : it could have been the animation when our Palico meets a grimalkyne, for example. Oh, and also that little detail that really bothers me : no eyelids for Rathalos!)

Not the worst raid to grind, the music is decent. Still takes forever, so you will be putting a considerable amount of time - if you don't get lucky. I did it 3 times for now, the most I have played in probably close to 3 months. All I got was the pet, want the glam, and a chest piece, but I don't think I'm gonna get that lucky this week. Especially with Red Dead 2, Outer Worlds etc. still out.. I don't play a lot of different games, but this time it's really crowded.

I rolled 98 and lost, so there’s that.

I don’t think it’s a huge deal. Definitely disappointing to not win but it’s literally just a few hours after the servers came up. I’m assuming that once you have it you can’t roll again? And this raid will be relevant until the next part in 5.3. I think everyone who wants it will get it sooner than they think.

Just ran it a 2nd time with an fc member. They got the crate a SECOND time by accident. What rubbish!

Scenario 2. Someone accidentally deletes a piece of their 2B gear. Are they able to roll again on another coffer to replace that piece or are they still unable to ever roll again on future coffers meaning they lost the piece forever

I don't think it's lost. They can probably buy it back from the Calamity Salvager.

I dont think its an issue frankly. Its a high demand loot which is gonna extend the life of the raid. Youll be rolling against other people, per usual. If you want it, be prepared to grind. a 1 in 24 change means what..little more than a 4% chance of getting that item? Just keep at it.

Guys we all know glamour is end game rather it be via maps to 24 man raids. Its time to put on our big boy pants, cancel our lives, and get that bread.

There are 3 crate drops so it’s not that bad.

Got the tank chest 2nd run, 2B outfit 3rd run, it's just pure luck but the raid is super fun so I didn't mind running it back to back, I plan on running it here soon with some FC members so they have a chance at the glam.

Also all praise Yoko-Taro the pants give you a booty.
