Mighty Guard does increase aggro from all skills, the -70% damage is whats holding back the aggro gen, although you can just spam The Look and you'll be fine on aggro

As for the the actual Tankyness of Mighty Guard, the 40% damage reduction is probably fine because I don't think the differnce in passive mitigation of mage armour and tank armour is that much, but what they do need is some defensive CD's other than diamondback and most importantly a health boost because while passively the damage taken by the BLU will be about the same or even more than a tank, theyre still getting hit for a much larger percent of their maximum health than a tank is do to the measly offerings of Vit on Mage gear.

So they probably need to add a +30/40% max Hp buff to mightyguard and then add some more defensive CDs.

The 70% damage reduction is really stupid. Old tank stance (PLD,WAR,DRK) was 20%. GTFO with 70% damage reduction.

IF they're going to keep it that way, they need specific spells to bypass it, like Ice Spikes or Whorl and an aoe of some sort (bad breath)

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

You forget that BLU is a DPS not a tank. Tanks did less damage than DPS without tank stance on.

A tank with tank stance on still did way more damage than a BLU with mighty on tho

Yeah, I failed to notice the aggro generation from Mighty Guard because it just doesn't seem all that impactful with the huge DPS cut it comes with.

As for Tankiness, that could easily be rectified by SE adjusting Ice Spike and/or Veil of the Whorl to be defensive CDs if they really wanted to but I do disagree in regards to gear in that BLU being strapped with Caster Gear vs Tank gear does negatively impact how potent a tank they can actually be, even if its only by minute amounts; it also doesn't help that BLU weapons have no stats at all either so I still feel having a more universal gear set for BLU, with a healthy blend of Tank/Healer/Caster stats wouldn't be breaking the bank in terms of what could help BLU Tanks be more useful.
