Mouth breathers, Malboro, Bad Breath, something something humor.

After raid night some of my static likes to hop onto alt jobs and do an expert roulette to wind down and get tomes. I've been going as SCH for the last couple months, and every time we queue I get a warning that my equipment is breaking. When we get in I try to repair my gear, remember that I need two more ALC levels to fix my weapon, and then forget to do anything about it before we meet again next week.
It finally broke tonight after the second boss of Akadaemia. It turns out that it's possible to survive wall to wall pulls even when Adlo is only healing for 2.5k. Who knew?

Yesterday a FC mate told us (we were 4 FC members doing an Alliance daily) that you cannot kick a member of your party if you started alliance together. I tried to convince him that's not true, and he replied to try and see...
Needless to say, votekick did initiated... and passed! Felt a bit sorry for him, but he ASKED be kicked to prove me wrong... my soul is not tainted!
Had a person that was very unhappy with me spamming holy since the tank was just doing small pulls.
They gradually got madder and madder until we got to the final boss and they went on some tirade about how WHMs aren't DPS and they know what they are talking about because they are a "white mage main."

Please tell me you said something snarky like "I'm so sorry man, next time I'll be a pure healer who jumps and emotes when there's nothing to heal."Had a person that was very unhappy with me spamming holy since the tank was just doing small pulls.

Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

Holy spam is a privilege AND a right. And the only reason I picked up WHM (because for whatever reason BRD needed CNJ cross class once upon a time--if I remember correctly).Had a person that was very unhappy with me spamming holy since the tank was just doing small pulls.

I think most of the time the blinding shinies get annoying to some people. Which is why I have effects toned down and even turned off for other players.
Still, that statement though. I mean you didn't tell the Tank to pull more. Why are they telling you to heal more? I'm a DPS main who heals regularly. I don't start telling the DPS to hit harder. I just deal. Usually by adjusting my own contribution.
Normally I'm cool with both opinions but that was just out of line. Especially if you were healing everyone. Ug.
Next time maybe tell them you can't hear them over the sound of your sparkly nukes.
My snarky apology for playing my class correctly is probably what sent them over the edge, so there is some blood on my hands.
Having a healer who only heals and spam emotes isnt half bad.
The problem begins when you meet undergeared healer who throw single healing spells once per 5-6 seconds and doing absolutely nothing just standing still.
I got one like this today in academia, first pull after first boss and we wiped.
I yeeted out from the duty.

To be fair, more than likely the whiner was doing less dps than you since they were probably wasting their time typing out their argument in chat.
On a side note, I decided to help my friend through Prae yesterday to get more mog tomes, and he decides to go on an epic storytelling spree telling the other 6 random people about the whole reason behind the name of the Garlean empire: that it was due to the townsfolk sending out their children with garlic around their necks to ward off vampires, but were eaten by wolves mistaking them for garlic bread, and how this whole conquering business was them trying to get away from the haunting screams of the eaten children. The Children of the Garlic.
Was a great run by the way.
This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.
