Oh boy guys we got the in current year person! Also, saying that homogenized countries don't have to care about woke culture is not controversial. They simply don't care. Neither does any African country, fyi. As for colonization of Africa and genocide, excuse me, but are trying to suggest that every white person needs to be held guilty over something that happened well over a hundred years ago? I am going to go laugh in the corner bc my white part of my family had nothing to do with the Scamble for Africa, thanks. But sure let's use that as propaganda against a Japanese company.
Anyone who gets their jimmies rustled cuz of skin color are dumb, but do not act as if it isn't a hell a lot more common that you ppl are often way more upset on a frequent basis. I see all sorts of rabid witch hunts bc a character was drawn a shade too light. Does anyone remember Baltheir? Ya, you had better draw him 5 shades darker than his actual model or might offend someone leading to a literal witch hunt. Any of you play Dragon Age? Better make sure if you draw Fenris his skin tone is closer to a chocolate bar than his actual skin color of a slightly tan even though honestly he's paler than most Europeans. Same thing happening here. And quite frankly, Nier's art style holds NO racial characteristics. I see 2P as white. You can argue all day long she isn't, but you are not anymore right than me bc you say so.
The best part is, you guys are projecting onto a company full of non caucasians. A culture that sees skin color different than the western world. Hate to break it to you but the skin color that they use to popularly depict light skin tone has little to do with race. Its why Japanese people look 'white' in anime. It's also why all of Doma is whiter than me. But totally 2P having lighter skin totally has to do with western concept of race. Bc the whole world follows the same rules /sarcasm.
You might think your woke, but uh forcing western standards and concepts of race on a Japanese company is arrogant as hell. But you know, complain about colonialism and while simultaneously push your standards on a different culture. Double standards. Ooo I love em.
