    Personally, I think RDM's rotation is fine. SMN is complex, BLM is high skill ceiling not because of rotation (RDM surprisingly beats BLM on that front), but because of movement. Yes, it hasn't changed much. Not a lot of classes actually get their rotations changed. MNK, DRG, WHM, BRD, BLM* have basically been identical (* BLM's order of skills has changed, but if you played BLM in HW, SH BLM will still make a lot of sense).

    If anything needs to be changed about RDM, it's their potencies. Verraise is not a utility. With as much as this game's mindset is DPS above all else, having to sacrifice a GCD to raise and lose a potential potency of 580 is not a gain. It's always a loss for the RDM. Their burst is outside of raid buffs, their embolden doesn't line up for them to benefit from either and it decays while other buffs do not while providing something more enticing. If the FFXIV team really wants to push Verraise as a utility, make it an oGCD CD that can be woven between casts. Embolden could use a buff - not much - maybe just a flat increase instead of this decay or lasts longer. Or, add a self-buff of white and black mana generation is increased; mainly to help RDM's opener line up with the rest of the party wide buffs going out.

    Also, Reprise is RDM's Scath. You use it when you don't have procs, can't get a cast off, and can burn some white and black mana for some sort of additional DPS instead of having absolutely none.

    i think rdm needs some potency increases personally but I love the role and the healing/raises are part of why I play it. I also like the mobility.

    I thought they did announce they will buff RDM, but it turned out the information I read on FFXIV reddit discord was taken from an unofficial source.

    RDM
    - RDM's overall potency will increase and buffed, at a considerable amount.
    - RDM's trait will also be buffed as well
    - Devs do acknowledged that the proc is very RNG reliant, therefore Acceleration's specifications will be changed to proc up to 3 times and will not disappear until then. However its cooldown will be adjusted to be longer

    Cool! Thank you... waiting for the release notes to see but either way I love playing RDM, it's a healers dps as far as I'm concerned. And who didn't love resbots in Eureka :P

    One of the reasons I love RDM is its rotation. As far as I'm concerned, I hope they never change its rotation ever in any significant manner. Look at SMN. I loved that job at the end of Heavensward and even throughout Stormblood, but I don't like it in Shadowbringers because they changed it too much.

    Thinking about it a bit, I feel like the some of the things that could be added would be either proc-able moves that could be added into the normal rotation, a dot or similar attack that could add a gradual mana gain as you go, or possibly even an aoe finisher to use after moulinet.

    I was so relieved to see redmage was barely touched. I already lost summoner to the rework, I didn't want to lose my second favourite job as well.

    Most jobs don't change significantly each expansion, and that's a good thing if you enjoy how it plays already. When they rework the playstyle of a job it's either a hit or miss, MCH 5.0 was a hit meanwhile SMN 5.0 is a miss.

    That said, I do think RDM didn't really gain that much in 5.0. Aside from the complementary AoEs, they get 3 new attacks, 2 being optional and doesn't add much in gameplay. I think it could be more than that, like a third tier of proc'd attack spells that are strong since RDM is lacking damage, and acts as a more reliable mobility tool since RDM does have bad mobility. It sounds like it's not much but it would help RDM's issues a lot. RDM can use more support utility too since I do see potential for it as a support DPS. The kind of support utility that doesn't interrupt damage by wasting gcds.
