That kid at the end of ShB reminded me of the Doman boy who with his 3 friends started the "Doman Adventurers Guild" more than anything especially with him rapidly firing off those questions. If they do anything with Ardbert, it may be more of the bleeding effect that Desmond started getting from over use of the Animus in Assassin's Creed. *shrugs*.

That would make no sense. He was becoming a part of our soul so he should not be able to reincarnate at all and that would be too fast. I just think this boy shows how our deeds change people and give them a reason to become adventurers themselves.

At OP: Would be nice if he makes a return but that would also mean that he somehow is able to co-exist even with our souls rejoined..poor WoL her mind is really getting full.

I don't think it's so much "supposed to remind us of _______" as that all child characters (of a particular race/gender) have prettymuch the same face, and it's especially noticeable when their hair is the same as well.

Firstly, I'd like to thank the official forums UI that will not let me correct the typo in this thread's title, even when it claims I have. Consider Ardbert the Friendly Ghostly now embraced as my headcanon, SE. You win.

Thirdly, I thought he was merged with us and therefore not interactable anymore, too. Again, if they go all Frey with him, I'll still be happy. Kinda makes the "walking to his friends" scene make less sense, I think. But I suppose its not like his soul could really move on anyway if it was merged with us??? Personally, I'd be fine with Ardbert providing running commentary in every other CS for the next three xpacs.

I hope the soul expert in next patch really has some lore bombs for us on how exactly souls work in this universe. The pixies, the fuath, the soul fragmentation, the scions... we need some confirmation on the rule set around souls and aether and how they are different, if they are. lol

Some people believe we are going to meet up with a character named Ezel Berbier, who was a npc from the FFTactics Advanced games who wrote anti laws to be used against the the laws Judges used in battles. The character is a Nu Mou whose first name Ezel means separation or departure in Hebrew. I wonder what, if anything that could mean for anyone merged together.

Not everyone agrees with my previous theories on the matter I know, but there will come a time down the road when we either separate again (because why would Hydaelyn allow us to remain merged when that goes against her modus operandi?) or we "simply" destroy both her and zodiark (as we cannot allow one with out the other).
