Those of us who are long time FF fans feel that the game needs to get the core concepts right before it should attempt any radical changes to things. And when it does add new things, there needs to be a proper explanation and integration into the world in order to maintain the quality that the series has generally had. Artistic integrity, Good Storylines, and faithfulness to the established mythos of the franchise are very important to us.

Those who are general MMO fans, likely could care less about any of what I just wrote and likely want to be entertained by having large volumes of relatively easy endgame content with high drop-rates of flashy trinkets and e-peen enhancement items.

It's a divide that's nearly impossible to bridge with some people and its futile to argue with them.

The big problem is that I'm starting to worry about which side Yoshi-P is on now. The OTT Ifrit weapon designs where the first warning sign, the crowns and moogle weapons were second, now these ridiculous mounts...

You give away tons of this flashy crap now for nothing and the game has nowhere to grow without the entire player base looking like a Mardi-Gras parade. It's extremely short sighted.
If only they actually didn't try to make the same mistake they did with XI and number it. This game in general is blasphemous to any true FF fans trying to say it deserves a number.

Not gonna lie I do enjoy my MMOs and that I believe this game could do with some features from others just to make the little annoyances easier. Even the smallest thing such as the numbers make this incapable of being an FF game. At level 50 i should be doing around 2k a regular hit but hey let's not use other FF games to make a point it normally gets overlooked.
