Yea sorry I'm in this game for the long haul and a longtime FF fan and I love mounts, jumping, and glowing weapons because I do think they fit in the game world, especially when they get the lighting to work correctly. You can't generalize people and think that everyone on either side has exactly the same aesthetic tastes.

In all honesty, adding new mounts at this stage should have been the last of SE's worries. Posting pictures of a Goobue mount and getting all excited about it as if there isn't other areas of the game that need to be seriously focused on. I think they should have just concentrated on Chocobo's and given us varying colors and breeds, then introduce new mounts when 2.0 comes around.

At the end of the day, this is a 57+ page thread with so many different opinions, caused by nothing but a simple screenshot. That should tell them something.

If they had posted a picture of some Job specific gear or a new dungeon, at least it would have been 57+ pages of positive feedback.

My main complaint is that I play Final Fantasy MMORPGs because that is what I am looking for, if I wanted all this other crazy crap, I would go play the other 20 generic MMORPGs out there....... FFXI kept it simple in many ways, you had chocobo's, boats, and airships, like every other FF game. You had classic mobs, and new mobs, like every other Final Fantasy game. You also had the iconic Jobs, like most of the FF games.

Yes FFXIV is an MMORPG so yes it does need to take good ideas from other MMOs and make it their own, and they also need to take the good things from FFXI. That said this is also a Final Fantasy game, so there are some things that should just not be messed with -.-
