If you want to be included in hunts, go out there and hunt. Avoiding inclusion in the tedious process of spawning them yourself but demanding inclusion in the kill of targets that someone else spawned... lol

Maybe a better option would be to just go in the opposite direction here. Instead of a powerful mob spawning in the zone and anyone/everyone is able to get involved, why not make hunts a more personal thing? Maybe something players have to be proactive about. I might possibly enjoy hunting if I knew the spawn timer for any given mark was unique to me, that my actions alone determined spawn conditions, spawning a hunt mark that is only available to me. Similar to leve mobs. Other players can't even see them unless they're being engaged, and aren't able to participate even if they can see.
Unfortunately, naturally, I can see this turning out much more boring, with mobs needing tuned for a solo encounter, for any job, at which point they'd be little more than standard overworld fare. Even tuning hunts to require a party, but still make it unique in this regard, would leave them significantly weaker than what we get. And, of course, part of the fun of hunts is the difficulty and unique attacks/behaviors, etc.
So, in conclusion, end result of this suggestion is probably something much less satisfying, less rewarding, probably more complicated, difficult to implement. Would be easier to find some fix/adjustment for the current system, no doubt. But. It's an idea. A bad one. Idk. Tired. There's no easy fix. Still think it'd be somehow cool if I could decide what I wanted to hunt, and had to make the effort to hunt it myself. Maybe special condition leves...
It can happen and I'm not denying that. But the chances of that happening are very low. Why? Because if I can teleport to ARR zones after it was relayed on LS, travel all the way to the hunt and still make it, then someone who is already in that zone has even a lesser chance of missing it now with the zone wide announcement about the hunt.
The majority of the complaints you'll see here are from those who aren't spawning it and think they're entitled to the hunt. I don't spawn S ranks, nor do I early pull. But if I missed a hunt, then I'm not going to complain, since I didn't put any effort in it. Those that did put the effort into hunts, already have the new ShB Triceratops mount in a span of a month from release.
1. Give S ranks the B-rank treatment. Reduce respawn timer to five seconds, make them passive, reduce their health, remove rewards from them and tie them elsewhere or cap them.
Pros:
No more toxic behavior
Hunt radar use wouldn't matter as there would no longer be any competition
Players could experience and see a mark's mechanics
Anyone would be able to hunt regardless of schedule
2. Have an NPC sell hunt bills. Could use an existing currency or a new one and could have varying strengths with better rewards for a higher purchase price.
Example:
ARR S rank -
ARR S rank (full party) -
HW S rank -
HW S rank (full party) -
In addition to the previous advantages mentioned, the devs could have the currency acquired by any means they wanted. Could award some for being an AiN, could award some for completing old content, etc.
In the end, what really matters is whether any adjustments conform to what the devs want hunts to be.

I suppose it is a matter of what is a reasonable amount of time to wait once something has spawned. Sometimes somebody will shout and then seconds later it is dead by the time you've ported or travelled there.
It is kinda something that has put me off doing them, whilst I have contributed to hunt groups before, but sometimes a hunt just spawns and you're in a position to join but often or not its too late.
I am for immunity or some other method, because it doesn't have to be a long timer to give people a chance to run over, and yes there will always be latecomers, but this would give a better chance, particularly on any hunts that are quicker to kill.
I dont think he was talking of that. But of when you spawn a weak hunt yourself, and that the short time you find where it is on the map the mob has already been silently killed by people using hunt add-on radars to quickly steal hunts from the spawners. Without waiting for anyone nor making ls or shout calls for it.It can happen and I'm not denying that. But the chances of that happening are very low. Why? Because if I can teleport to ARR zones after it was relayed on LS, travel all the way to the hunt and still make it, then someone who is already in that zone has even a lesser chance of missing it now with the zone wide announcement about the hunt.
They could make them like b rank hunts. Where after you kill it changes locations and your put on a cooldown where if you help kill it again on the cooldown get no credit for it. Wouldn't count towards the achievement ether when on cooldown.
Have fun trying to solo S-Ranks bc you missed the hunt train and now everyone is on cooldown not bothering with S-Ranks you call out ^^
