    You won't have the option to use the mount command until the early 20's of main scenario. You should still be able to see your mount collection in Character > Mount Guide though.

    Edit: Seems you're at that point and sorted it, happy days.

    I just want to point out that is usually the case, for new players/new characters. Legacy characters from 1.0 however.... have immediate access to anything they previously unlocked in 1.0 (such as they can switch immediately to any class or Job they wish, but only classes or Jobs they had unlocked in 1.0 and had EXP in, can immediately access retainers, but again only the retainers they had hired back in 1.0, etc etc.).

    And that includes access to mounts immediately - if a 1.0 player had unlocked the Company Chocobo or Gobbue in 1.0 (the only mounts available in that version of the game), then they have immediate access to them before they rejoin their Grand Company in ARR. It's a perk of having a 1.0 character. (If a 1.0 player did not have a mount in 1.0 though... then they have to wait til level 20 when they join a GC and get the Company Chocobo just like new players).
