I've had it happen briefly, but they'd usually wise up and realize that if they're dominating that badly they'd be better off just pushing for the main keep and ending the match quickly.

Which is one of the reasons I wish Rival Wings was more popular. A good team can similarly just totally streamroll the opposition and end their suffering quickly instead of being gated by points from objectives/kills.

It's just demoralizing in frontlines once first place establishes a solid lead because it's extremely unlikely they'll lose it unless they start letting second/third have crystals/nodes to themselves. Even if they get wiped the point bonuses from killing from players with battle high/fever aren't likely to matter if they were allowed to amass it in the first place.

Also battle highs tend to only happen if you don't focus down the healers, as dps need healing to not die so they can get the consecutive kills needed to get battle highs.
In a perfect world if one team has a bunch of BHs and the other teaming is currently trying to kill yours, the best you can do is try to force them near the BH team so a pinch can happen.

Going in with the whole squad can prove dangerous if the BH person just starts picking off people to get fever since the other dps will start taking the kills from their heavy hits and earn their own bhs.

A pinch however leads to an all out scramble where the healers are focused on everyone so they're way easier to pick off. Sadly a lot of people don't look at that and would rather play passive even when another gc has like 4 bh people on hand farming the other squad at a different objective.

The BH team did actually get pinched and lost most of their players around the 700/800 points mark in my most recent match, but they were still up 200 points or so so it didn't really matter in the end.

If they're ever actually allowed to farm up multiple battle fevers the other teams have likely lost so much points their chances of winning are already gone.

I don't get it. Every single game does this.
    Shooters with killstreaks.
    Fighting games with guages.
    Racing games with drifting.

You don't reward players for being bad, that's like if a shooter gave someone on a 20 death streak a tactical nuke so they felt better, or a racing game gave you a free speed increase because you were in last place for 5 minutes.

You don't buff people on killstreaks either. Which is what this game does.

Don't let them get so far ahead then.

Because apparently you missed the post.

Now assume it was 3 people, and all 3 of them were DPS. That's a 20% increase in damage for 3 DPS. Now assume all 3 of them focus a healer, and that healer is only one of two in your party. That healer is most likely already dead, despite your team focus targeting, because their healers are healing whoever you aim for, and 3 of those 4 DPS are doing 20% more damage. Getting 1 Battle High is fine. The second there are multiples on an enemy team, you've already lost, because it starts a snowball effect due to the amount of power and adrenaline gain increase, and the fact that the only way to get rid of it is to KILL the person who has it. You can't wait out the duration, there isn't a negative aspect you can exploit. There is nothing you can do at this point, and all it took was a single wipe of both opposing teams to cause the snowball effect.

You say that the second there are multiple battle highs on an enemy team you already lost, yet I've been in parties many times that were facing just that situation and managed to overcome the disadvantage and wipe the enemy party. Your statement that there is nothing you can do at that point is just not true.

    100% this.

I mean my last FL of the day we were 200 points behind and both the other two teams had multiple highs, it was rough. So we just put them in situations where they had to fight each other (because we weren't worth farming) and just played around them, then a sandwich at the end secured the win (Seize).

I'm actually tired at this point of people making every excuse for losing when problem isn't an external one, it's your own team being bad. Accept the fact you're going to get smacked around every now and then and move on, play better, communicate better instead of finding every excuse that doesn't involve you as a player. So no Hayk, I haven't missed the point - the case is still people are blaming getting smashed around the map on battle high when the buff doesn't just miraculous spawn on DPS - you need to be getting beaten quite comfortably already.

If you wanna minimize the chances of this happening, make friends with people that have an ounce of sense and play with them instead of random garo memes that just wanna play their matches for mount and then get out of q, it's a social multiplayer game - make the most of that fact.

Battle high is generally not the only reason a team loses but it sure as heck doesn't make winning any easier for the teams that are already behind. Matches where people manage to overcome a significant number of highs are the exception as opposed to the norm and almost always require the other team to gang up on the dominant team which is never a guarantee as the "playing for second" mentality seems to often convince them that picking on the team in third place is the best course of action.

I've also noticed that it's way more prone to becoming a problem in Seize then any of the other modes for whatever reason. It was rare to see more then a single person with Fever in any of the shatter matches I played today.

Honestly though, one of my biggest beefs with the mechanic overall is that it often fails to even fulfill its supposed purpose of "rewarding good gameplay" because only the person who gets the killing blow on a player gets credit for it (In the case of self-induced deaths from fall damage it seems to go to whoever damaged the player most recently). I can regularly be dealing 80%+ of a player's HP, be topping the damage chart, and get over a dozen assists in a single match, yet never get battle high simply because I was never able to get a killing blow. This also inherently makes it more prone to ending up on people playing burst heavy classes like DNC (These guys are by far the ones I see with it the most regularly), NIN, and BLM. It would work better as an equalizer if it's consistently going to the players who are actually putting in the most work on each team.
