Why I look forward to Limited jobs

It bugs me as a name because it an incredibly, for lack of a better word, "gamey" term.

Near everything in game has some sort of lore compatible name and reasoning, even if they have to stretch to make it fit, but limited job is purely a technical term that no-one in the FFXIV world would or does ever use and there is never even a flimsy excuse given for why you can't do regular content with it.

For me it just comes down to the name of the concept not directly referring to what the content is. And you're sorta right with the technical term not widely used. I'm sure most people would prefer just calling BLU...BLU instead of limited job. But like the Disciples, I got the impression that they want to use the term "limited job" as an umbrella term for other potential jobs. And like the Disciples of Magic, Might, Land and Hand, they're all technical terms used for a group of classes/jobs that is used as little more than to describe jobs and their roles. I just would rather them coming up with a snappy name like "Disciples of Lore" than "Limited Job." But that's me being petty.

I think you're confusing different levels of terminology there. Blue mage is a Disciple of Magic [limited job] as opposed to a Disciple of Magic [job].

I'm aware that it is technically a caster DPS with caster role skills, I'm saying it shouldn't be labeled as such. Especially if they have plans down the line to add more jobs like this. Consolidating them under a different name would make more sense and would clear up some confusion when playing as these jobs.
