We don't need more limited jobs, what we could use is unique side content for existing jobs, and BLU made into the proper job it deserves to be.

yes all limit jobs are work in progress I like how they going about blue mage I think people misunderstand the term limit job they a lot more detail to blue mage hint they spell book where you have get spell to fight by fight monsters. question does the other combat jobs have access to arena that blue mage has access to.
nor am I doing mental gymnastic to like it. I play more then just world of Warcraft to understand they more to combat jobs that not connect to raid/dungeon. I play other mmorpg such swg and ffxi and other mmo I understood that some combat jobs doesn't have be connect to raids and dungeons

If you are saying, not all jobs or content have to be connected to raids, I agree with that. You mentioned FFXI, BST was a shinning example of a job that was pretty much a "Limited job" before FFXIV even came into existence. I feel like, not a lot of people may not have played BST, otherwise, they would see that this limited job concept was actually a thing at SE as far back as 2002-ish.
Solo oriented jobs are good to have. I mean, having a thread titled "Tales from the Duty Finder" which pretty much insults the FFXIV populace is not the most inviting thing for new players lol. maybe some folks want to get away from the drama, kick back & relax, doing things at their own leisure.
I think there is a place for solo jobs. Again, I have not played with limited jobs, but from my understanding, it is solo oriented, correct? if so, there is a place for solo jobs, done correctly. Keyword...

It's not designed for party and endgame play, but it's not solo-oriented either. In fact, I remember lvling BLU as being very social with all the spell hunting. The solo part of the job is in reference to its unique content, the Masked Carnival. Where you do challenges by yourself with the spells you've learned. Of course you can go the extra mile and do things at lvl 50 that no other job at that lvl can. Mr Happy soloed some of the early Coil fights and Ifrit hard mode using BLU.If you are saying, not all jobs or content have to be connected to raids, I agree with that. I think BLU leans more towards a collectible job with some solo aspects rather than the lone wolf idea that BST accidentally ended up with. Doesn't mean BLU can't fulfill a niche, it just won't be a solo OP powerhouse that a lot of people assumed.

There's a reason why I haven't leveled BLU at all, limited jobs just aren't that appealing. Why level a job that you won't be able to use for most content?
I could use that time leveling a job I would actually use.

I think that SE still work out bug for limit jobs give time they come up with more ideal so have suggest doing duel between blue mages. I though use squadron feature with limit jobs so players still can use it in some way get job spell they want. the thing is with limit job such puppetmaster and beast master these job require complex system so make them limited make sense. puppetmaster in ffxi had paper doll which respent your puppet which you could gear up as you see fite. beastmaster I hope will allow us to have beast for ffxiv as permit pets and lvl them on they own leveling and will require the concept beast family and the SE to design feature like possible a stable or place keep the beast. and system my hope is doing some similar to vanilla wow with twisted where pet have quest hub for beastmaster. aswell a quest hub for puppetmaster. I like blue mage to have that too at some point I away felt beastmaster have quest hub of haul break isle would be a good quest hub. the anti tower seem to be a good quest hub for puppetmaster. put so you gain rare blue mage skill in treasure chest would awesome
the wanderer palace would awesome blue mage quests hub
haul breaker isle beast master quest hub plus stables
the anti tower quest hub for puppetmaster and workshop to upgrade one puppet
for example rare pets, rare blue magic totem, rare puppetmaster part could be found treasure chest slash treasure dungeon
also it could instance for player set up thing like target dummy and thing they like

How about they make the current Limited Job not a complete laughing stock that died within a week before we start asking for more? And if they can't, well... better to move on entirely.

Pretty much this with BLU. The dev's need to figure out what they want it to be because right now it lacks vision. Either it's supposed to be this overpowered limited job than can absolutely wreck old, outdated content or tone it down and balance it for group play.
Because right now it's in limbo between the two. So many bosses are immune to most of their statuses (but would hit you as a player 100% of the time) and so many attacks are just carbon copies of each other with a different element (which ultimately doesn't matter at all).
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
Limited Jobs are, and always will be, a bad system. It will be a cold day in hell if they ever announce another.
BLU was not only a terrible class, but also an absolute slap in the face to all the Blue Mage fans out there, being told you can't have your favourite class because its "Too OP", whilst simultaneously not making it OP outside of very niche scenarios. From the interviews Ive read from yoshi P I think he only really understands how BLU was in FFXI, which is not how it was in the other games, where BLU was heavily leaning into a party support role with some damaging magic sprinkled in, a role it physically cannot fulfill in its xiv varient
