Thanks for indulging me guys
I know it's just my IMO and surely a lot of people are enjoying the class (I am too playstyle wise).
Just wish there was some breakdancing and acrobatics![]()

Well, FFXIV DNC is probably inspired aesthetically by other Final Fantasy Dancers. I don’t recall seeing anything about FFXI’s DNC doing streetdancing or breakdancing. From what I’ve read of the job, it has sambas and waltz steps.

And blue is for boys and pink is for girls, right?
Nah dude, they're just colors.
Seeing as SE made the animations for this 'warrior dancer' job, it's a hard arguement to say 'it should be more this and less that.'
If you stuck to your 'heavy' and 'soft' attributes I'd simply write it off as your take. But it's 2019. The way you move or what weapon you hold doesnt make you any more or less masculine.

OP I dare you to do as a dancer does for a prolonged period of time then say whether those movements repeated over and over are soft.
I come from a family of dancers both male and female with my sister being a professional now choreographer. The men she's danced with and directed, even doing some of the more softer, graceful movements (especially in ballet), are some of the most masculine and fit guys I've ever met who are comfortable enough in their own skin to perform in that manner, and they love it.
If you want more masculine jumping around, go play mcn. That class sure does jump around a lot for someone with a gun lol. You'd think it might throw off your aim.....
This was honestly my biggest fear when the job was announced as I was too sure it would be a job catered to females. To my relief, I find it rather unisex - the dance moves are swift and flamboyant, but that's...literally what dancing is, and it's rather elegant, unlike a certain healer that was intentionally designed to look as kawaii as possible because only girls play healer /s.
I agree. Something that's supposed to be so.... ugh, what's the word.... powerful?...
Well, it just seems dainty.
I assume you mean white mage - and I disagree (regardless of which one you meant). There's nothing "kawaii" about my male Elezen healer - he looks like an elegant mage casting spells. Spins and sparkling lights don't inherently make something feminine.
Maybe because being an Elezen already gives him enough grace to cover it up, but it looks very much girly on say, a Roe. AST has tons of twirls and glitter too yet doesn't have the same 'cute' vibe WHM gives off.
masculinity's a bit frail
