The easiest solution would be to just make all roulette duties min ilvl, so everyone has to actually care about mechanics.
Then ppl lowering their ilvl wont be an issue cause they still had to actually grow a brain for the mechanics

Yes, they are super boring, especially Lab. The only good thing about them, is that they are fast. With 15 min. for ST it is as fast as a normal dungeon.
As much as I love Orbonne or Dun Scaith, I always fear wipes, so I'm not that mad, when I get ST or Lab (or WoD). But I do miss those nice Orbonne runs, I had back when everyone was running it.
I got into Weeping City a few times lately and it felt refreshing (though ppl still fail on Ozma).
Min ilvl is a bad idea, just double the HP of all the bosses and they'll have enough time to do their mechanics again. The worse of the problem is from the fact they change scaling to HQ values which they were never balanced for. The later ones were and are not the problem.
I am not sure what parties you guys are running with but in the instances where I get something not ST in the roulette I usually have no trouble clearing. In fact I love getting something other than ST because that means I will have to actually do something rather than pretty much idle since as a healer there is so little to do.
The max ilevels are the problem not if the ilevels are HQ or not.Min ilvl is a bad idea, just double the HP of all the bosses and they'll have enough time to do their mechanics again. LotA is min ilevel i50 tuned for closer to i70 but has an ilevel sync of i135. Max ilevel at release was i90
ST has a min ilevel of i70 with an ilevel sync of i135. Max ilevel at release was i110
WoD has a min ilevel of i90 with a sync of i135. Max ilevel at release was i130
Compare this to:
VA which has i175 min i275 max, release max i210
WC which has i205 min i275 max, release max i240
DS which has i235 min i275 max, release max i270
Rabanastre i305 min i405 max, release max i340
Ridorana i335 min i405 max, release max i370
Orbonne i365 min i405 max, release max i400
A max ilevel character is about 200% stronger than the min ilevel characters LotA and ST were designed for.

Who else is sick and tired of getting these in the alliance roulette?
I swear in my experience I get one of these two raids 95% of the time. I only get HW and StB alliance raids once in a blue moon. Heck even getting World of Darkness is exciting. I feel so burned out on these crystal tower raids that I can't help but to feel nauseous as soon as I hear the beginning of the music. You can only imagine my disgust when the Moogle event went live before ShB.
I'm sure other players are sick of these raids too. Nearly every mechanic gets ignored now (Zombie Dragon skeletons, Scylla orbs, Amon slimes). That's how brain-numbing this is. The only mechanics I see that don't get ignored are "Ancient Flare", "4-on-a-pad" (loosely), and "Ecliptic Meteor."
I understand if I see a First-Time-Bonus that there's a new player or alt. However when I don't see a First-Time-Bonus I get confused.I just wonder why we were put in those raids. Sure there may be characters on jobs not 60 yet but that doesn't explain why WoD is so rare. Do level 50-59 characters really outnumber characters 60-80 by so much?
Thank you for listening to my rant...I just needed to get this off my chest. I'm still curious about why these raids are soooo common though.
It's fast and it's better than Mona where Noob can chain wype on the God of Thunder, despite the fact that the content is very easy...
Thanks for my quick babysitting for tomstone farm.
